A series of undocumented observations was made as Marulu ventured through the woodlands. Despite assigning the task to himself, Maru failed miserably in researching a new location for his people to settle. The sights and sounds were far too entertaining to be analyzed thoroughly; his mind drifted far away from his mission and into the vast curiosities of this wondrous world.

The trees parted to release Maru from the forest's grasp and dropped him off into a small clearing. A white blob wielding a sword jiggled as the wooden tip clattered against a villainous rock. Maru recalled when the children who practiced swordplay ritually to soon fit their given title, and he smiled, seeing a piece of his home within the small, adorable creature.

"Hi!" Maru chirped happily, waving a hand over his hand with unchecked excitement. He approached the small creature and knelt close by, and once again waved with tamed joy. "I'm Maru," he introduced himself first before he looked at the rock. "Are you trying to defeat your arch nemesis? Man, that takes a lot of energy, but I know you can do it with some support." Maru turned his confident gaze to the creature and grinned.

"All right, try again with all your might! You've got this!"

Chiikawa paused and looked back at the stranger. Well, now they felt a bit shy. To continue practicing in front of someone they didn't know could be very embarrassing. Yet...they had become more confident lately, hadn't they?

Plus, those were words of encouragement. Chiikawa didn't need to feel afraid or shy. They gave Maru a nod of the head, and made some little noises. "...Mhm..mhm..."

Turning back to the "scary faced" rock, they seemed more serious than before.

"Hyah..!!!"

Aurelius waits for the puffball to finish speaking, only to realize that's all there is to say. Admittedly, it takes his mind some time to put the pieces together.

"You wish to thank me?"

"Well then, you're welcome."

Granted, he has no idea what he's being thanked for, but it was only gracious to accept such sentiments.

"Thank you for visiting as well. Do you take tea? Or should I be preparing candy?"

His only point of reference was, perhaps, My Melody. That bunny was very much a child, so perhaps this creature was similar...?

"Ah...eh?" Chiikawa looked up at Aurelius. They realized that perhaps he didn't recall when they first met, which was...quite disappointing. Yet!

Perhaps that was okay too. It meant that Chiikawa didn't have to feel embarrassed.

"Tea..."

Chiikawa is helping Cecil clean up the store.

● "Hah? What are you supposed to be? Some sort of fairy? Are you edible, maybe?"

"One of those creatures you shouldn't spill water on or feed after midnight?"

Chiikawa had been enjoying a day out by themself. Yet, when they were addressed by this stranger, they stopped and stared at her, slightly worried. Gulp!

They closed their eyes tightly and shook their head quickly. "No...!"

If they were an alien, they were either extremely small or very young.

Likely not a danger to anyone. But over two decades of bad experiences with non-humans were hard to overcome, and Till couldn’t help being naturally reluctant to approach them…

…Even if they were pretty cute…

It’s the bad playing that eventually tips the scales, and Till gives a long-suffering sigh before walking up to the little white creature and crouching down beside them. He gives their sheet music and guitar a glance over.

“What’s the problem, li’l segyein?”

"Ah..." Chiikawa looked over at the stranger with a furrowed brow. "...Um.." Then the pointed to the music sheet and shook their head, letting out a sigh as they did so. Afterwards, they began to make more gestures and noises, explaining the situation.

However, Till wouldn't be able to understand all of the details, but perhaps he'd be able to grasp the basics of what Chiikawa was trying to explain?!

Chiikawa gets a text back fairly promptly.

[text] Dear Chiikawa, I'm delighted to hear you're interested in music lessons. I have an acoustic guitar you can borrow if you're in need of one, or you can bring your own. Kindly let me know if you would like to meet at your home or mine, and at what time of day. I am available day or night. Regards, Octavo

After exchanging a few more polite and formal texts with Octavo, Chiikawa prepared themself and went out to meet him a few hours later. There was a lovely park in Golden that would suit their needs just fine. So that is where they decided to meet up.

Approaching with hesitance, Chiikawa walked towards Octavo with less confidence than they would like. At the very least, they brought their own small rental guitar.

"Mmn.."

"There sure are a lot of Happy Boxes here...no one seems bothered by them either..."

He's staring at the TVs in a display window. He looks mildly concerned.

Chiikawa was also rather entertained by the TVs in the display window. This was shown by how focused they were on the screens. It was almost....hypnotizing!?

Back in their own world, they could never afford such an expensive piece of hardware. When they saved up their earnings, they'd use it to by the stuff that they really needed instead!

However, in Spirale, all things were possible.

The voice of a boy snapped Chiikawa out of their trance, and they shook their head to rid themself of the strange lights in their eyes before looking over at him curiously.

"Mmn....happy...?"

It wasn't any of Chiikawa's business, but they couldn't help the worry that they felt when they found this girl dozing off in the middle of the woods.

Chiikawa approached carefully; holding the strap of their cute little purse as they did so. "Ah....um..." As they got closer, it became quite apparent that this girl also had some kind of tail?!

So people like this existed as well....!

Carefully they reached out and gave the girl a gentle tap. After doing so, they immediately took a step back, paused, and waited for a response.

Looking down at the flyer in their paws, Chiikawa's brows tinted up into a worried expression.

'I can teach you any instrument!'

Hachiware would be proud of them for taking such a brave step, wouldn't he? Thinking of his smiling face, Chiikawa shook off their unease and then began to type out a message to Octavo through their phone.

[TEXT]: Hello. I am Chiikawa.

[TEXT]: Could you teach me how to play the guitar?

Today, Chiikawa is thoughtful. They have sighed wistfully while thinking of their friends Hachiware and Usagi. How must they be feeling right now? What kind of situations are they in? Are they happy, or cold?

Chiikawa lets out another sigh closing their eyes as they did so.

"Mmn.."

Chiikawa wishes that they will both be well. Wishing to see them again in this new world would be a selfish thing, so they don't wish for that at all.

This hawk...it had tried to grab Chiikawa before. However, at that time, they were saved by dear Eiden. Yet today, no such luck could be given to Chiikawa. In fact, it seemed as though their luck was running out!

Not only was the original hawk chasing after Chiikawa, but it seemed a partner had joined in the hunt as well. The only change in this situation was Chiikawa's confidence. They ran at first, breathing heavily....but suddenly....there was a swift turn, and they...pulled out a large stick?!

Yes. They waved the stick around wildly while shouting: "N-no...no!!"

The wooden sword that they normally carried had unfortunately been left at home this day, so this is why they had to improvise with the large stick.

The hawks didn't seem to be deterred all that much though. They took turns trying to swoop and grab Chiikawa!
