Actually, this crumb is so cute! Gray reassures Juvia that he's not "leaving" her for good, plus he doesn't object if Juvia follows him in secret. He's probably even expecting it lol.
We might not see Juvia until the end of this arc, but she might *secretly* follow him so idk. 😜

Gray opened the door to his and her shared home, stepping quietly inside and wiping his wet shoes on their doormat. His heart was torn between hoping that Juvia noticed him and hoping that she didn’t.
“Gray-sama!” she called in greeting. “Juvia’s in the kitchen!”
He arrived at the open kitchen door and knocked on the wall near the doorframe. She turned and smiled. It didn’t reach her eyes.
“Hey,” he said. He remembered when he was little, the way his dad would stand in the door frame and watch his mother cook. Gray would wobble over to his dad and hug his leg and watch his mother too. This was not one of those moments, but he wanted it to be. Juvia simply smiled a small smile at him. Her eyes were puffy.
“It’s raining,” he added.
Her smile didn’t disappear. “Juvia is glad you came back safe.”

Happy Gruvia day 2021! For this year's oneshot, I've written a scene that fits the reunion panel of the latest chapter (FT100YQ ch.90). I hope you all enjoy it, I certainly had a lot of fun writing it ^^

Her embrace. That was all he could think about when wondering about their return to the guild. How many times had he imagined how she would run to him, how her waist-long hair would tickle his neck and her cheek would squish his in a tight hug.
It was just as he imagined, however, he did not get to enjoy it for long. Her joyful eyes turned big when she took a step back and gasped when her gaze landed on his skin.
''Just what did that Selene do to you?!'' she let out, her hands covering her mouth in shock, ''you've got to get patched up right away.''
He laughed out the other side of his face. ''That's gonna be an issue, as Wendy is completely out of magic power.''
''Why won't you let me patch you up then?'' she suggested, her eyes narrowing and her mouth forming a playful grin.
The thought of escaping the guildhall full of piercing eyes to the infirmary just with her made his head spin. Just why was it so hard to admit?
She either read his mind or made up her own and dragged him away from the reuniting crowd. He just let it happen, he was too tired to think of something to reply anyway.
As soon as they closed the door of the infirmary behind them, Juvia started to look through the improvised cabinets for bandages and plasters.
Gray sat down on a worn-out, clearly third-hand bed with springs that dangerously squeaked. He let out a sigh of relief as he finally sat down for the first time in what seemed like ages.
She came running back to him with arms full of nursing supplies. ''I'm afraid it's all we have in this infirmary, the rest should still be packed away somewhere in the storage room.''
''I'm sure it's enough,'' he reassured her.
She kneeled down behind him. ''I'm going to clean the cut on your back, this might hurt a little.''
He hissed through his teeth as soon as he felt the alcohol seep through his open skin. ''I don't care about the wounds I got during the fights, they'll heal. But that pawn of hers, she absolutely messed with my mind.''
He could practically feel her anger radiate from behind him. ''Please tell me.''
''She tried to trap me in an illusion to keep me unconscious and die from the cold,'' he snickered, but immediately regretted it, as his ribs started to sting in his chest, ''can you imagine? Me, dying from the cold?''
Juvia didn't laugh along. ''What was the illusion?''
''Is that important?'' he tried to avoid the topic by scratching a scab off a wound on his elbow.
''Hey, don't do that! It's trying to heal!'' she said, immediately grabbing a bandage to cover the now bleeding skin with.
''Let's just say the illusion was based on my deepest desires,'' he could feel himself losing grip on his nerves by the second, ''I had to let go of those wishes to be able to snap out of it.''
''That sounds awful,'' she said, gently wrapping his arm. She sat down right next to him, leaving no space between their thighs.
She looked at him with pleading eyes and lay her hand on his knee. ''I'm still dying to know what it was though.''
He gulped almost audibly. She was so close, it threw him off guard. All his senses were sharpened and he felt sweat break out from everywhere.
''Ehrr... I was celebrating my birthday,'' he stammered, ''you were there, but my dad, Ur and Ultear visited too.''
''I'm so sorry to hear,'' she said, visibly regretting her question, ''I know how much you wish they were still here.''
He nodded, holding back the lump in his throat that was now welling up. ''If only they would be around to ever see our-''
He cut off his sentence when he noticed he almost spilled the detail he wanted to keep hidden from her.
She tilted her head. ''Our...what?''
He panicked. A thousand thoughts whirled through his head. There was no way out of this mess anymore.
''Gray?'' she touched his shoulder, which felt tensed up, ''you can tell me, you know that right?''
''In my dream we had a son, okay!'' he yelled out in frustration and jumped back on the floor to pace around the room to hide his flushed face, ''Gahh, this is just too embarrassing!''
''Your deepest wish was to have a family together?'' she managed to softly say through her shaking.
''It's silly, I know, okay?'' he now walked in circles to prevent himself from hitting a wall, ''but I must have realised that after seeing our counterparts in Edolas with their son.''
Her mouth fell open. ''You went back to Edolas?'' she asked in disbelief.
''The moon dragon Selene travels through dimensions, so we ended up in Edolas for a while as well,'' he said, ''time has passed there quicker than here and everyone was years older than the last time I saw them.''
''So... Gray Surge and Juvia from Edolas got married?!'' It was now her turn to turn a shade of red.
He nodded.
''How is he called?''
He took a deep sigh when the image of the cute, little boy came to his mind again. ''His name is Greige.''
''So they have a family, hm?'' She smiled blissfully. ''And that's what you saw in your dream too?''
''I felt happy...'' his voice came out so hoarse it sounded like a whisper and his shoulders started to shake uncontrollably, ''so happy.''
He broke. He sat down at a nearby chair and buried his face in his hands, letting his tears stream down through his fingers. ''I just... I've never felt that way before.''
She walked over to him and stood right before the chair. ''How did you let go of that dream, you said you had to reject it?''
''I realised I wasn't worthy of what I desired,'' he said in a shaking voice, ''I said I- I'm happy enough when you're happy.''
She felt the tears prick behind her own eyes too now. Seeing the strong, cold man she was used to break down in pieces right in front of her was just too much. She now knew for certain what his long-promised answer would be.
''What if I wished for the same dream?''
He looked up in bewilderment. He could barely see her face through the haze in his eyes. Her ocean-blue eyes shimmered.
She smiled through the tears and cupped his stunned face. ''Wouldn't that mean we'd both be happy?''
If he was made out of ice like she was built from water; he would have melted. She was everything he had ever missed.
He reached out a hand to the back of her neck to bring her face closer to his.
Her breath stopped when she felt his fingers tangle in her hair. He didn't need to say anything, she knew instantly what he was aiming for.
She let her hands slide from his cheeks to his hair and closed the last remaining distance between their lips.
A deep warmth spread through every fiber of his being and he kept his eyes shut even when she pulled back to catch her breath.
''It would,'' he said, smiling, before pulling her in once more.

Discussing Juvia's major character flaw | attachment issues
I think most of you already know I love Juvia, I really do. But I also really love analyzing characters and even their flaws. And for Juvia, I think her greatest flaw is her attachment issues. Her happiness and I'd say even her self-worth is very reliant to the lives of her friends and loved ones. Now this isn't one of those Juvia slander shit that we always see, as I said I do love her Juvia. But I'm just gonna acknowledge her flaw, talk about the reasons for it, and how I think she does something about it to be a better person.
The reason for why she turned out like this is the way she was treated in her childhood. We all know what she experienced during those times. She was shunned away by literally everyone. It seems like she didn't even have at least her parents to be there for her, she was shown to be always alone, even inside her house, which is why she's so desperate for affection and love.
Everyone avoided her, and hated and always talked about how it always rains around her.
Some even went as far as to bully her (which is horrible. She was already going through a lot during those times..)
Fake Salamander breaking up with her because he can't do his normal activities with her and the constant rain..
She then started to think that the only way for people to like her is to adjust and change herself for them, which is not good at all. She turned out this way because people only focused and cared about what she brought them (the constant "gloominess" and the rain, which is out of her control), but they didn't really care about her as a person.
But then Phantom Lord came. She thought that those people of cared for her. She thought she finally had a place where she'll fit in, where she's accepted and acknowledged. But in reality, they are like those people during her childhood. They only cared about what she can give to them and what she can bring them to their advantage (power), but they didn't really care about her as a person (which is ironic, considering that she probably thought they're different from the other people who treated her bad back then, but they're actually pretty much the same, if not worse).
Jose inviting her to join the guild. In her mind, she saw this as something that's good. But it isn't.
She then started to realize how poorly she was treated by those people when she finally met a decent human being who treated her nicely (Gray), who actually helped her and acknowledges her as a person, unlike the other people she has met before. Along with his friends who cared for her like no one ever did before (Fairy Tail). This lovely, fun place with people that's full of warmth and joy of which she's never felt, so much warmth that even when it rains, with them it feels like the sun is still shining... She becomes a happier, more cheerful, and more lovable, all unlike before. But something still hasn't changed..
The rain going away and Gray showing her the sun, indicating that she's finally felt joy for the first time in years, probably the first time in her life.
She becomes so attached to her new found friends that she and her whole happiness soon becomes reliant to them. She would do everything she knows, change her appearance, give them gifts, anything. Sometimes even if it puts her to danger.. All of this not only because she cares for them (we all know she does), but also because she thinks it's the only way they would accept her and love her, which is the very same thing she has been trying to do with Phantom Lord and with the other people before. She's trying to fit in. She's still so desperate for affection and acceptance. Because even when she already gets it, even when Lucy has already stated from the start that Fairy Tail will never reject a person like her, she still wasn't able to fully process nor understand it. Because she's has never felt anything like that before, it's something unfamiliar, strange, alien to her.. Although they already did accept her unlike the others, and they said (Cana specifically), that she doesn't have to go too far for acceptance because they already accepted her.
"You don't have to add '-san' to my name anymore, since we're friends now, okay?"
(note that '-san' is a honorific suffix used in Japanese when referring to a person in a respectful way. So not using it may mean that you're really close, or at least you think so.. or that you're just a disrespectful mf lmao)
"Juvia just wants you all to hurry up and accept her..." she says after Cana asks why she decided to hurt herself than be forced to hurt her friends..
But because of her experiences in the past, she become so afraid to loose people like them and go back to how she was without them, lonely. And she has given all her love towards them, so much love that when they all left, when the guild disbanded and Gray left for a mission, all her love also went away with them and there's absolutely nothing left for herself.
She's alive because of them. She's happy because of them. She's cheerful because of them. She continues living because of them.
But without them.. what's the point..?
She has made her happiness, and I'd say even her self-worth so dependent on them that when they all left, she becomes numb, depressed, and completely unable to do anything but grieve and wait and wish they would come back. Now, without them, she's worse than how she was even before she met them. She wasn't even able take care of herself.
Depressed Juvia waiting for Gray outside their house while it's raining, causing her to be extremely sick.
And I mean, everyone's was sad about FT disbanding and all that. And just like her, Lucy was also sad that her man left. But Lucy was still able to take care of herself and live and work, and even managed to research about everybody's whereabouts and persue her dream of becoming a writer. But Juvia? She was completely DEVASTATED. While everyone was still able to live their lives and go on, Juvia wasn't. I mean, she was, at least for a while. Until Gray left her completely all alone in that abandoned village and it started to rain harder than it did 8 years ago. And this attachment issue is a big problem that I think needs to be tackled and taken care off. At some point, she needs to do something about it to grow and be a better person, for others and for herself. Which is also what I think she's slowly trying to do in 100 Years Quest.
Many of us didn't like how Gray leaves her again while he takes on a long mission. Some even suggests that she should just join his team and go to quests with them. And while them spending their time together is great, I think spending their time away from each other helps both of them to grow. For Juvia, I think that spending time away from Gray has taught her some things and has helped her especially about her attachment issues. She's still upset about him leaving, of course. We can see that especially at the first chapter of 100YQ, when she was crying and murmuring something about how Gray left for a mission without her. But over time, she's slowly starting to acknowledge that this is a job that Gray chose, and therefore she should respect his decision, let him do it, and trust him with it. Even if it means he can't spend much time with her or talk to her about the quest, and even if it means that one day he might not even be able to return home anymore because of it...
An FT100YQ extra chapter that focuses and Juvia and Gray just before Gray leaves for the mission
She's learning to live even if she is away from him. And that, I think, is the meaning behind this official artwork of Juvia, where she's standing in the rain, smiling.

Most often we associate rain and storm with sadness, or just something negative in general. For Juvia, whenever she is really sad, it rains. However, in the photo, even though it is raining, she's still smiling...
Gray was the one who stopped the constant, continuous rain that is caused by Juvia's sadness. He's the one who made her feel happy and accepted for the first time. And when the guild disbanded and he went away, she was alone all over again. And because of that it started to rain again. During those times, she was really sad, depressed. And it continued to rain until Gray came back and stayed with her. But that was only for a year. Now that he's doing the 100YQ, he's away from her, again. But this time, she's learning how to live her life even if Gray isn't always by her side. And she's learning not to dwell too much into those negative feelings whenever he's away.
She's learning to be more independent. And that's why I think that the artwork symbolizes not only her accepting the rain, but also her accepting the sadness and loneliness that comes with it. That it's okay to have bad days sometimes and not feel well and cheerful all the time. Because even if it rains, even if he's not always there, even when she's sad, she can live. And she will live. Although Gray did promise Juvia that he will return from the quest, and of course, Juvia trusts his words..
Now imagine if this long character arc of Juvia ends with Gray actually dying protecting her, finally becoming what he deems as a worthy person, someone who's able to protect her at all cost, and her having to accept that she needs to continue living her life even when he's gone holy shit-
(jk about the last part cause people took it too seriously lmao)
Great analysis but they already stated that they will live for each other, Juvia is gray’s power to live and After everything that happened in Gray’s developement, considering sacrifice himself a looot of times, it is not a casual statement, power to live, Juvia Made him realize he is worth love, he is worth to live happily, Gray was traumatized to love because everyone he loved f*** ing died until he met Juvia, she was willing to die for him, he was willing to die for her and yet they found a way to survive and stand together and surpass everything and after the last time (Thank you Invel) Gray realized he wants to live, he wants Juvia to live, he wants to spend time living, growing and loving, he still feels unworthy because he was totally broken and he is still in his way to heal so he wants to become stronger in order to protect her and then “i swear i’ll make her mine” His mind is set. He wants to be his best version for Juvia but he knows now that he wants to live, she is his power TO Live, no more hiding behind a bush, he has to collect his pieces and live for her, with her, in their reality (not in a fantasy where he had Ur, Ultear, and his father alive) but in their reality and this is huge too because he accepted all his losses and decided to keep following his path of developement because Juvia Made it clear for him. Acceptance, trust, he is finally willing to Live and able to accept to love and being love. If Gray Fullbuster set his mind on sonething I truly trust him so he will live and love Juvia that,as you said, she is learning too how to be whole as a person and she is doing great. Honestly Gray and Juvia were both broken in a terrible way and still together they are finding their way to become incredibly strong and healed and I find their personal developement Great!! This is one of the reason I love them so much!! And i truly believe they will live together and happily ( and make a Greige being the best family ever)
Still not able to go over this. How comfortable they are, how she seems happy and how he is past his inhibitory brakes that made Him all flustered and embarrassed, now he is genuinely happy, not warried at all to show their bond, omg look at how he has his hands on her legs but he is at ease with touching her body. How he is looking at her, so complicit look, how she totally trusts him to keep her safety. They are now past the untold, they are now both aware about their own feelings and that they are totally reciprocated and they are Just downright happy. And my heart melted.

I’ll Keep Your Secrets Safe - Ch. 21
AN: I’m fully going to blame the long wait for this chapter on karma. The morning my life got flipped upside down I had an anon come crying to me about having to wait longer than a month for an update. Then stuff went down with my dad (I’ve posted that on another post).
To make a long story short, I have a permanent house guest for a while now and he takes up a lot of my time, so it’s been difficult finding time for myself.
I also want to add that despite my promise to myself that I’d never do it again this chapter broke 10k, and the next one is over 8k so that was part of the wait.
The good news is that Chapter 22 is written, and just needs to be edited. I’m going on my honeymoon in exactly a week and I won’t be back until the 20th but I’ll try to have it up for the 22nd. No promises though, since life is crazy and I’ve got to get everything together for my vacation on top of that, but once it’s edited I’ll have it up.
This chapter is dedicated to Kass from Venus who has been a constant reviewer from the beginning and Princess of Woe for keeping me going these last few weeks. Your excitement has been a huge driving force in getting this chapter and the next one written. :)
Chapter 21: Exposed
Juvia lurched after Lyon. Her heart was in her throat and reality was setting in. She made it halfway towards the den before stopping dead and whirling around to face Gray.
“I’m sorry,” Juvia said in a rush. “I promise, I’ll explain. I just- I need to go after him.”
Gray frowned, but he nodded.
Juvia waited another moment for him to say something, but he didn’t. She swallowed hard and fought against the urge to rush back and kiss him again. For once she wanted to say fuck it all, but her conscience won out.
She spun on her heel and raced to catch Lyon. She weaved through the crowd and made it to the front hall just as Lyon finished lacing his boots.
As he rose, he caught sight of her and frowned. He grabbed his coat from where it was dropped and wrenched open the door as he slung it across his shoulders.
Juvia rushed forward and grabbed her boots and coat from the closet. She shoved her feet into the boots, and was out the door, hopping and juggling her jacket as she tried to get her boots on right, while still keeping Lyon in sight. The cold bit into her skin, but she ignored it. She hoped she’d left her gloves and hat in her pockets, but it was too late to go back and grab them if she hadn’t.
Instead she stumbled after Lyon onto the barely lit street, and hoped he’d wasn’t planning on going too far.
