introduction to my bleach ocs <3
Akira, son of Shunsui Kyōraku, is the lieutenant of squad 12, and the co-founder of the department of research and development. He works (/worked) under Kisuke Urahara. After the war Akira is promoted to captain, and his lieutenant position is filled by Reina.
Akira is 5’8/173 cm. He has short light brown hair in a messy layered cut. His hair often falls into his eyes as he does not cut or style it very often. Outside of his soul reaper attire he dresses in baggy pants and tank tops most often. He likes to wear clothes that show off his chest post-op. He is transgender, female to male. He got top surgery ~50 years after the turn back the pendulum arc.
His zanpakutō is called Meimyaku (translates to lifeline). The release of his shikai allows him to modify and reconstruct parts of his body to his benefit, this could include: wings, claws, longer/shorter limbs, etc. His bankai allows him to mimic another spiritual race: hollows, quincies, or fullbringers.
When he mimics a quincy he takes on the form of a sternritter with the schrift E: The Experiment. This ability allows him to flip his shikai ability onto his enemy. He is able to reconstruct a part of his enemies body at will.

When he is mimicking a hollow he gains a hollow mask and the power to perform cero. He can also summon Menos, however this depletes his energy and he can only do so much.
All damage attained during bankai is sustained when bankai is over.
Akira is also a master of kidō. He was top of his class in the academy, but Kisuke helped him learn more.
Reina was created in the lab by Akira Kyōraku. Akira was testing out a technology he created to reverse the effects of the hogyōku on a modified soul and special gigai he created. The experiment did not turn out correctly, and Reina was created as a visored. Akira sends Reina to the world of the living to meet Shinji Hirako and the other visoreds from before.
Shinji teaches Reina how to use her zanpakutō, but also how to deal with her inner hollow and how to control hollowification.
After the war when she is appointed as Akira’s lieutenant, Shunsui takes her in as another daughter figure. Jushiro Ukitake takes care of her as well.
Reina is 5’5/165 cm. She has shoulder length black hair in a wolf cut. She often dresses in black or other dark colored clothes.
Her zanpakutō is called Kokoro Kodoku. Releasing her shikai physically distorts her appearance, she becomes transparent and hard to see. Her bankai shrouds her in shadow. The only giveaway to her location is her concentrated spirit energy attack that releases from her sword in waves of purple energy. Upon release of bankai she gains increased speed with her flashstep.
Kaori was born into the Kuchiki family. She is much younger than Byakuya, being the same age as Rukia Kuchiki. Despite Rukia being her sister, she is one of her closest friends. Kaori and Byakuya do not get along, he considers Kaori a smudge to the family's reputation.
Kaori and Shuhei Hisagi meet during her time at the academy. They become quick friends, and their bond never breaks. Once Kaori is out, she is placed at third seat of squad 3. Her and Izuru Kira become friends. Them two and Shuhei could often be found together.
She stands at 5’4/162 cm. She has long black hair. Before meeting Shuhei she often kept her hair neatly up and out of her face, and she never wore any makeup. Shuhei and Rangiku helped Kaori explore makeup, and she discovered her love for eyeliner. She has several tattoos, and takes on a more “emo” aesthetic.
Her zanpakutō is named Doku Toge, and is two small swords. She is one of very few duel wielders. When Kaori releases her shikai, the edges of both blades become poisonous, infecting anything that is cut by them. Infliction of poison will cause sharp pain, redness, depletion of spiritual energy, and slows their speed. Her bankai release extends the size of her blades, and keeps their poisonous feature. Now she is able to summon thorned vines made from kidō that are controlled with her mind. The thorns have the same poison effect as her blades.
Naomi is an arrancar, previously Primera Espada. Her aspect of death is solitude. Her “1” tattoo is between her breasts, and constantly exposed by her open jacket. Naomi was a feline type hollow before she was made into an arrancar. She was appointed as Primera Espada when Aizen was creating his army, but she faked her death to escape being part of his plan. She returns from hiding after Aizen’s defeat in the Fake Karakura Town arc.
Naomi is 5’3/160 cm. She has short light purple hair that she keeps in half up half down pigtails. Her partial hollow mask takes the form of feline ears that poke through her hair and it extends down to her forehead in the shape of a snow leopard’s jaw. Her resurrection, Onza (snow leopard) extends her mask to cover her jaw. She gains a tail and her hair comes down and becomes shoulder length. When her resurrection form is released, anything her sword cuts becomes frozen in ice and her cero becomes more powerful.
Lila is a quincy, born and raised in the human world. When she was born her mother found a way to suppress Lila’s spiritual pressure to keep her away from everything between shinigami and quincies. When she is a teenager, around 15, she finds a journal in her fathers room that details everything about the war between quincies and shinigami. The back of the book has a slip of paper with an address and a note that says, “when you're ready to learn more, come find me.”
Lila goes to this address, which leads her to Urahara’s shop. He teaches her everything she needs to know, but in this process her power is released. The quincies become aware of her, and Yhwach orders some of his men to capture her and bring her to him.
She is assigned the schrift V: The Vampire. When she bites someone she is able to feed off of their reishi, which makes her physically stronger and faster while the other person becomes weaker. Quincy scientists push her to the limits for years to see how far this ability can stretch. They put her to the brink of death, sometimes even killing her, to bring her back and see how her reishi feeding revives her. This drives her to almost genuine insanity. She is set on one goal. Kill Yhwach.
She becomes romantically involved with Cang Du which puts dents in her plans, but she goes through with it anyways. Yhwach notices the dwindling power of the sternritters and activates Auswählen earlier than anticipated. It's still too late, Lila has gathered enough power to overtake him.
Lila is 5’6/168 cm. She has long, wavy, indigo hair with dark purple streaks. Her sternritter uniform is a cropped jacket that reveals her chest, and a short skirt with boots that cut off just below her knee and the typical gloves worn by sternritter that contain the Wandenreich Emblem used to activate Vollständig (Quincy final form).
Her Vollständig form gives her indigo wings. Her enhanced schrift gives her a “charm” ability that makes people she has bitten feel more inclined to follow her. She uses this to help turn the sternritter against Yhwach. She never uses her schrift against Cang Du though. To activate her Vollständig she traces the Wandenreich emblem in the air with her sword.
