I can’t wait.

I can’t wait for the all the Frozen 2 hype. I can’t wait for teasers, and theories, and conspiracies and rumors. I can’t wait for the D23 Expo reveal and revelations next year (AND POSSIBLY THE TRAILER?? I claim it. We’re getting a trailer/teaser mid-August of 2019.) I can’t wait to read tweets from Jen, Kristen and Bobby as they talk about the film and the new music. Hell, I can’t wait for their interviews. I can’t wait for the new soundtrack and I can’t wait to cry over it. I can’t wait for the new cast that’s joining Arendelle. I can’t wait to see Idina (thank GOD she’s active on IG now. Watch her stories. She’s hilarious.) and Kristen’s social media flooded with promotional content, interview clips, teasers, their own version of being hyped as they become Elsa and Anna once again.

I can’t wait for the new merch. New limited edition dolls. New things to collect and see and cherish. And lastly… I can’t wait to see a new generation of fans –old and young alike– joining this fandom or just loving the girls as they find themselves in Elsa and Anna. I can’t wait for more women and young girls finding validation and empowerment through Elsa and Anna’s message.

I can’t wait for new fan art, fanfiction, headcanons, drama (insert eye roll here), and meeting new people here in the fandom.

I can’t wait for all of it. Man, We have one year to go. But we’re closer than we think. And I cannot wait. Let the sunshine on. Let the storm rage on. I’m so ready.

I’m actually so conflicted about this- because while I am CRAZY psyched for the hype and what’s to come, after Frozen 2…that’s it.

There’s not going to be another broadway show. In the unlikely event there’s another movie, it probably won’t come to theaters and, well, sequels, particularly the third of something are typically crap. Frozen 2 is most likely the end of the road for us.

And that’s a scary, depressing thought. So while I want Frozen 2 like, yesterday…I also don’t want it to come. Because I don’t want it to be over.

I heard that Frozen started out with a Russian-inspired direction before switching to Norwegian culture so I doodled a redesign of coronation Elsa and Anna with Russian influence in two different eras!

I’m no Frozen fanatic (it’s not even one of my favorite Disney movies) and yet I always find myself drawing these two

I didn’t put…too much research into this so I’ll gladly take corrections if I’ve made any mistakes! The most concrete piece of research I have is that 1800s Elsa is very heavily based on Alexandra Feodorovna’s wedding portrait
