August 2nd // Daily recap
I went for a run at 9.30 this evening and decided to run super fast (for me) despite having only had dinner a couple of hours earlier. I was dying by the time I got home but managed an average pace of 6.06/km 😁
I signed up for the Amsterdam half marathon! Kind of excited, a bit less motivated than last time, but I’ll be so happy if I beat my previous time!
Also completely random but I find the picture of my face with the dogs absolutely hilarious. A girl in work was showing me a photo editing app and ‘snow princess’ was one of the options 👍
August 1st // Daily recap Happy first day of August! I can't believe it's August already and only a few weeks until my birthday 😁 Work was work and I went to the gym to do legs this evening. I never feel like I spend enough time when I do strength training but I guess it's just getting rid of the hard-slog cardio mentality! I'm also really getting in to kombucha - it tastes like juice to me and I love that it's good for digestion and whatnot 👍 I also just ordered 2 new sports bras (mine are fecked) and tried to sign up for the Amsterdam half marathon but it wouldn't let me boooo. I'll try again tomorrow, so fingers crossed because it's the last day for registration!
Some photos from the past few days! The past few weeks have been hectic 😵 amongst many career- related things I've pretty much found out i can't eat bready or dairy things. I'm not sure what's going on but I'm going to just avoid at all costs because the pain my tummy has been in is not worth it. However! Luckily I've been cooking a lot of whole meals and experimenting with making my own sweets etc. Lunch yesterday was garlic and ginger turkey stir fry and watermelon, AND I made my own nakd bars which turned out splendidly 😁 Came home after work and gym yesterday to find an amazing surprise and collection of little gifts from fb!!

July 13th // Daily Recap
We had another work planning meeting at external offices today, and afterwards the whole team went bowling! I was amazingly shit at it, which surprised me because I’m usually good at throwing shit, but the Velcro shoes were so funny 😁😎
Went for a run with my work colleague (see his snapchat gif which I cropped for his privacy). I initially thought it would be too hot for a longer run but it was such a lovely evening and Vondelpark was wonderful👌
Food: 2 x boiled eggs, banana, nectarine, prawn cocktail, fruit salad, crisps, salmon and sweet potato, homemade protein bar, tea with almond milk
Exercise: 10km run
July 12th // Daily recap Today was busy as ever but I managed to get up at 6.30am to go for a quick pre-work run! Some orders arrived today, which is always 🎉👌💃🏻, and this swan collar was one of them - I love it! Also got small size versions of 'This Works' deep sleep pillow spray and stress less rollerball, so hopefully that'll help with sleeping issues and pissy work stuff. A palm print slip dress from Topshop arrived too which is lovely, so fingers crossed for a nice weekend! Food: 2 x boiled eggs, banana, nectarine, avocado pest courgetti and prawns, mini stroopwaffels, cocoa nakd bar, sweet potato fried egg hash, dark chocolate, tea with almond milk. Exercise: 5km run
July 10th // Daily recap I went for a run at 9am and it was already way too hot for me! By the time I got home it was hitting 23degrees and I was SWEATY. Tried Bounce Balls and I was pleasantly surprised! I feel like I could just make my own though? Went to the Foodhallen and got squid skewers and rice paper rolls - I'll give the skewers a miss next time but will definitely go for the rolls again! Dinner was sweet potato and egg hash. I've fallen off the wagon with sweets so I need to get back on it. Also I refound and love my bee necklace! 🐝 Food: bounce ball, squid skewers and pork rice paper rolls, fresh orange juice, choco peanuts (a lot!), sweet potato egg hash, cherries Exercise: 11.75km run, walk with bf

July 5th // Daily Recap
Since I’ve been ~taking control~ of things again I’m infinitely more positive. I feel healthier and am able to wake up better and am just generally better. It’s a bit of a relief because the past year has been shit - I’m naturally a pick-yourself-up type of person, and despite my best efforts it just wasn’t happening or things kept pulling me back.
But now I feel myself taking a different outlook to everything again which is great 😁
I went to my second kickboxing class tonight too! Got my own gloves and shinguards (love them, want to wear all the time) but the class was almost totally abs and like 15 mins kickboxing technique unfortunately. Why do gym instructors think women only want to train abs and do squats?! Might shop around for a different gym until I find one I really like!
Food: 2x boiled eggs, nectarine, salmon and broccoli, orange chicken sweet potato and red pepper, 70% dark chocolate, chocolate pave.
Exercise: kickboxing class
No time for daily recap today - ate decent food, mint pave things turned out ok, wore red lipstick, went for 11km run 👍
July 2nd // Daily Recap
I’ve been pushing myself to get back to my half-marathon distance/times over the past few weeks and today I managed over 12km!
We went for brunch before bf went to work and it was absolutely amazing - I had the pork belly option which was gluten free and a spinach and ginger juice. First time trying asparagus and I really don’t get the hype? But I love that Amsterdam has some really great places to eat 😊
The rest of the day involved meal prep, attempting to make Helmsley & Helmsley mint pave (which may not turn out so well), and ordering some clothes. Really hope the weather picks up so I can actually wear some of the stuff!
This weekend will be dedicated to relaxing because I’m still bloody exhausted from the work trip! I feel a lot more zen now it’s over though 👍
Food: banana, all about the belly (pork belly, asparagus, kimchi, hash brown), spinach and ginger juice, mint tea with honey, salmon fillet and broccoli, 72% dark chocolate, tea with almond milk

How crazy that we’re in July?! This year has already gone so fast!
I got back from our work conference in Bucharest yesterday and was absolutely dead after 3 days of hectic stuff! Rested and did some shopping with biff yesterday and was in office today.
While I was away my eating has slipped slightly, in that I’ve started eating processed sweets again and had a lot of meat (a lot😟) but managed to avoid bread and whatnot. So I’m giving myself a break until I can meal prep again tomorrow!
It was absolutely bucketing earlier so I had to wait until 8pm to go for a run - still rained when I went but I forgot how much I love running in drizzle!!
Food: banana, pepper stuffed with mince, cucumber and tuna, Tony’s Chocoloney seasalt chocolate, salmon fillet and brocolli.

June 25th // Daily recap
I was pretty busy today, despite wanting a lazy day with going away for work next week!
Me and bf went for a walk and tea this morning, then I went for a run after he left for work, put on 2 washes, did some work, made my raw chocolate brownie things, and now I’m packing to go away 👍👍👍
I also went to Ekoplaza to get coconut oil and decided to pick up some kombucha, but bought a juice by accident instead! It was still really nice 😁
Food: beetroot and chickpea veggie burgers, broccoli, honey glazed ribs, karma juice, raw chocolate brownie, tea with almond milk, bananas

I've been really quiet but I'm absolutely devastated about the results of the EU referendum in the UK. I'm disappointed that so many people have believed the scaremongering and chosen to sever opportunities for millions of young people. From an Irish perspective this really scares the shit out of me - we already have a shaky peace in the North and my family and friends live right on the border so their lives will be impacted in ways we don't even know yet. 💔🇪🇺
June 19 // Recap of week one
My plan to update everyday went totally down the drain because work was fucking hectic this week (welcome baaaack) and my bike got stolen on Thursday so I’ve just been preoccupied. Silver linings though, I got a beautiful brand new (!!!) bike, and because I ate mostly the same selection of meals here’s just a few pics.
I completed my first week eating no processed foods without any major slip ups! I had some of 72% dark chocolate but I’m going to let that slide because everything else was perfecto.
I feel great already - less bloated, sleeping better and none of the headaches I was dreading. I haven’t really had any cravings (even when my bf got a pizza or there was ice cream in office), and I think that’s because I’ve just totally gone for it.
I went for a few runs too and finally managed to get past the 5km wall I’ve been hitting! 8km this morning and it was wonderful.
In other news my gold bag arrived and it’s cute but tiny. I get paid tomorrow and am already plotting for all the shit I want to buy 👍👌
