This Was Not Part of the Arrangement (TBA)
Summary:
Crowleyās bites are addictive. Thatās why he erases the memoryāno one comes back, no one gets hurt.
Aziraphale remembers anyway.
And then he returns.
Not desperate, dependent, or chasing the euphoria Crowley knows should have taken hold.
But actively choosing.
Crowley built his rules around people who couldnāt be trusted with the truth. Around the certainty that if they remembered, they would come back for the wrong reasons.
Aziraphale proves him wrong.
And Crowley has no idea what to do with someone who knows exactly what he is⦠and stays anyway.
aint it crazy how many people realize they're queer when they have the language to express how they feel and a support system to encourage self exploration????
right at the beginning when she's like how do I help my son feel loved and accepted I'm here shouting
"QUEEN YOU ALREADY DID THAT BY TAKING HIS SIDE AND LEAVING THAT NO GOOD HUSBAND FOR HAVING THE AUDACITY TO KICK YOUR BABY OUT!"
And Good for her! this is the only response to a man who kicks out a child.
When asked about the kiss in S2 Neil Gaiman famously said in an interview that he had long received letters asking for Crowley and Aziraphale to kiss and how after he thought about it for a while he said āWell I can give you what you want but you wonāt want it.ā
For a week now all Iāve pictured in my head is NG sitting in his fucking edge lord basement laughing to himself and saying āHow do I give them the ending they want without giving them the ending they want.ā
Iām devastated. Iām heartbroken. I sobbed for three days straight. Iām still trying to collect my thoughts into something coherent.
Iām sorry Iāve left you all on your own, that wasnāt my intention. I promise I will be back soon with a more in depth analysis. I just need to get myself together first.
Please be kind. To each other and especially to Rachel Talalay. But not to Neil Gaiman. FUCK that guy.
