It's getting really frustrating seeing the diy trans community in the UK parrot straight up mra talking points about transmasc DIY HRT more and more lately, no it's not illegal, no it's not harder than transfem DIY HRT (it's actually easier), no there isn't more resources for women, you're just not looking hard enough for the massive amount of resources already catering to men

Go on eroids.com or something and you'll have a database of literally hundreds of sources for testosterone it's rly not that hard ur kinda just lazy frankly

trans women don't have stuff like this handed to them on a silver platter so we had to build our own resources, and it's literally like 5 different sources all spreading themselves thin, it's such a stark difference and it's so obvious when a trans man has never actually spoken to a trans woman in depth about DIY HRT and just assumes she has it easier...

To get estrogen I have to convert my money into bitcoin, find one of the few sellers that ship UK that haven't shut down, pay for the shipment, pray it's not confiscated at customs while it takes three weeks to ship AT MINIMUM.

Not to mention a similarly sized vial of estrogen cypionate would be twice the price of that vial.

Men really do have EVERYTHING easier and cheaper

1) felonies aren't a thing in the UK, we don't call them felonies

2) it's not illegal to buy testosterone for yourself here, like they literally don't criminalise that, they only criminalise distribution, you cannot get into trouble just by ordering a single 10ml vial of testosterone from some UK-based bodybuilding website

I've literally done this myself, multiple times, and it's really not as hard or scary as you guys make it out to be... I always find it way easier to get my hands on testosterone than estrogen

Uh.. well it's.. erm. Like a sexualization thing? To me at least it sounds degrading (I'm not a transmasc or trans man, tho). Due to the connotations that boy and girl have "good boy/girl" if that makes sense

But it could also just be a shorthand they prefer to use, and it caught on to everyone else

I just stumbled upon an Instagram reel that said something like "I'm probably trans but I'm too much of a misandrist to accept it" with thousands of likes (including a couple of irl friends of mine who know that I'm a trans man...) but sure the queer community doesn't have a problem with men and masculinity and the radfem rhetoric that's been allowed to prosper in queer and feminist spaces these past years is not harmful to trans men at all (/s)
