New Zealand's government is trying to kick disabled people while they are down.

They are trying to pass a bill that says your family is responsibie for providing for your disability needs, the government will give you nothing and btw you can't sue.

My thoughts go immediately to all the disabled people who became disabled as children and have DID or OSDD or CPTSD because of how their family treats them. This will make it even harder to get safe.

There is a petition against this, but the only thing that will make them reconsider is direct action that hurts the economy. That will make them listen.

Sometimes I get called "girl" or "girlboss" or stuff like that despite me asking not to be and I know it's not that big of a deal, but as someone who's a transgender man, it just... Kind of feels like when someone calls a trans woman (who's not comfortable with it) "bro" or "dude"? Which didn't we all agree that was fucked up? Why is it fine when we kind of do it the same to trans men...?
