Just me, isolated on a Frozen Plateau

He eventually fell asleep, holding his wife tightly against himself, his smile never leaving his face.

He held her tightly, closing his own eyes as well. “Sleep well, Selena...”

Ariel turned around in surprise. There was another pokemon here on this isolated glacier?! Hmmmm… A strangely colored Lucario was the one who called out to her. 

The Primarina had no clue how she ended up here on this frozen plateu, but if the native was friendly… So was she. 

With a warm smile, Ariel gave a small wave and pulled herself towards the friendly pokemon. There was no water in the immediate area, so she had to resort to pulling herself across the land.

She gave a small blush as the Lucario told her how honored he was to have a shiny pokemon as a guest. In truth, she was just as normal as they come. The only thing distinguishing her from the others of her kind were two big factors:

The different colors, and the fact that she was female.

Other than that she was just like anyone else.

“O-oh! My goodness friend!” 

She began, putting a flipper to her face to hide the blush.  

“I am just like any other pokemon. There is no need to feel in awe over me.”

The warm welcome was greatly appreciated. Some mons had mixed feelings about her, so it was nice to see someone in awe at her colors.

“But… thank you for the warm welcome! Storms don’t bother me at all, as Ive been in all sorts of waters.”

“Well, I’m still surprised to have a Pokemon like you as a guest. Though I do have to wonder, you have any idea how you got up here?” ... His expression darkened slightly as he thought of the storms again... He didn’t want anyone to get hurt by them.

“... And trust me, you do not want to get caught in the storms up here... They’re really quite fatal...”

Kodiac wrapped an arm around Selena, smiling as he kissed her cheek. "I can't wait. Just a few more days..."

Kodiac walked over to his wife, Selena, having left to get groceries. “Hey sweetie,” he said, setting the plastic bags full of food down. “How’ve you been with Hazel and Willow’s future sibling?”

*Selena gently rubbed her swollen stomach, lying back.

He walked over and leaned down, kissing her cheek. "I'm glad," he said with a smile as he gently rubbed her stomach. "How long until our new kid is born?"

"Well, there's actually tellings of a curse placed upon here by a Pokémon. Now, they're really just ghost stories, but they say that before the storms started, a Pokémon whose heart became cold as ice cursed this glacier when it perished. Since that day, it's still been happening, whether we try to stop it or not." He wouldn't admit to the other that they actually held the soul of that Pokémon in his own body.

Kodiac smiled, looking at the pikachu. "Alright, first off, the storms. The storms that constantly appear on this glacier are very well fatal. You get caught in it, you're done for," the Ice-Type pointed out. "Though we've managed to create caves stronger than the human base they put up here. ... Those guys never stood a chance in our domain..." He was hinting at the fact it was the storms that ended them.

It gazes into the flame at the tip of its branch to achieve a focused state, which allows it to see into the future.

Kodiac ran over to Selena, picking her up and quickly getting her to the hospital. "We really need to think ahead for these," he said, looking at her as he ran through the doors. "Hello, my wife is in labor again," Kodiac quickly explained to the person at the desk.

Kodiac smiled and kissed Hazel and Willow on their foreheads. "You're welcome," he said. "By the way, having fun with your abilities?" He obviously meant their Pokémon moves that they have.

Kodiac nodded and taped it to the wall where Hazel and Willow could easily see it but it wasn't at risk of being knocked off. "There we go."

Kodiac smiled, getting a couple pieces of tape for them to put their drawings on the wall as he gently took the drawings from his daughters hands. "Where do you want me to put them," he asked.
