Durante tardes de ocio me dediqué a ver BRIC, el documental. Para quienes desconozcan de que se trata les aconsejo verlo. Este me despertó una duda que siempre tuve oculta, ¿hasta que punto un concepto tiene real importancia académica o pragmática, o se comunicó de tal forma que creó una ficción complementaria a la realidad?
Es el paper desarrollado por Jim O´Neill, economista de Goldman Sachs el estudio en cuestión.
¿Genera beneficios para la consultora dicho concepto?
¿Es ficticia la relevancia global de los países mencionados?
¿Las actuales potencias darán lugar al desarrollo de los mismos?
¿El concepto permite construir credibilidad sobre una burbuja?
Será el tiempo quien nos responda estas preguntas, sin embargo al día de hoy las inversiones, los recursos, la presencia y relevancia global de los BRIC´s indican que O´Neill no estaba errado al afirmar que:
Un mundo globalizado no puede ser liderado únicamente por USA.
Ahora, ¿dónde ubicamos esa ficción complementaria a partir de una comunicación efectiva?
Si no fuera por la exposición mediática del paper, por las incontables presentaciones de su autor, el ya existente crecimiento de los BRIC´s y hasta en algún punto la obviedad de lo planteado (sin desprestigiar el análisis económico realizado) ¿se considerarían a los BRIC´s como los futuros motores de la economía global?
La respuesta es sí. En principio porque el concepto es una predicción, por lo tanto este solo permitiría una aceleración del proceso el cual los países integrantes aceptaron con gran entusiasmo, viendo que la prosperidad de sus naciones estaba más cerca de lo planeado. Sin embargo, la trascendencia que obtuvo el paper jamás podría haber alcanzado la exposición y relevancia si no fuera por su atractivo, su implicancia global, su prestigiosa fuente y su base fundamental; la posibilidad concreta de realización.
Al hacer referencia a su atractivo, me centro en la "idea" de un nuevo mundo, un mundo liderado por nuevas potencias, potencias en pleno desarrollo y cuyo principal valor es su cultura. Una cultura tan variada que incluye posiblemente cuatro de las más distintivas de la humanidad.
Conjuntamente con su amplitud cultural ubico su globalidad. Más de la mitad de la población mundial está involucrada en este proceso.
Y finalmente el la característica principal del concepto tratado, su concreta posibilidad de realización. Que los BRIC´s sean lideres del sistema económico es una realidad hoy día. Pero el aún estado de desarrollo que demuestran tanto a nivel social, económico, político y demás estructuras no permite ubicarlos como primeras potencias.
A modo de conclusión, los BRIC´s son el presente y futuro que mediante una astuta estrategia comunicacional Goldam Sachs supo adelantar y posicionarse como los grandes visionarios de un proceso inevitable.

Now, where do we place the additional fiction from effective communication?
If not for the media exposure of the paper, for the countless submissions for its author, the growth of existing BRIC'sy up somewhere it raised the obvious (no discredit the economic analysis) be considered to BRIC 's as future engines of the global economy?
The answer is yes. In principle because the concept is a prediction, so this would only allow an acceleration of the process which member countries accepted with great enthusiasm, seeing the prosperity of their nations was closer than planned. However, the significance obtained paper could never have achieved exposure and relevance if not for its appeal, its overall implication, its prestigious source and foundation, the concrete possibility of realization.
Referring to its appeal, I focus on the "idea" of a new world, a world led by new powers, powers fully developed and whose main value is its culture. A culture so varied that includes possibly four of the most distinctive of humanity.
Together with its amplitude I place a whole culture. Over half of the world population is involved in this process.
And finally, the main feature of the treaty concept, its concrete realization possibility. That the BRICs are leading the economic system is a reality today. But the state still showing development both social, economic, political and other structures can not locate them as major powers.
In conclusion, the BRICs are the present and future communication strategy through an astute Goldam Sachs knew forward and position itself as the great visionaries of an inevitable process.
