i'm aware that a lot of marginalized cis men are oppressed in a way that denies their manhood, and i do think that's important, but something that never seems to get brought up here is that trans men have their manhood denied in a specific way that does not happen nearly as much to cis men marginalized in other ways, namely that we are forcibly gendered specifically as women. and it kind of irritates me when people are like "well, disabled men have male privilege over disabled women, so it's the same for trans men" because trans men do not actually have that- when a transphobe looks at a trans man, he is not identified as "a horrible tranny who also happens to be a man," he's, in general, identified as "a horrible tranny of the Delusional Woman variety, who needs to learn her place, which is being a woman." which doesn't happen to most cis men! idk if this is coherent at all just something i wanted to say

One category is also men who experience misogyny, aka transmasc men, while those other marginalization categories of men Do Not. Obviously. One is patriarchally oppressed, one isn't, so it's not 1:1. Even transmascs who transition may start facing misdirected transmisogyny aka anti-transfem oppression. I myself have been wrong about certain cis men not being transmasc, and vice-versa, despite being detrans... ended up giving way too much leeway to a very entitled cis gay dude once irl until he said it bluntly lol.
People can't claim that transmascs are acting "emasculated" when those transmasc men are getting told their experiences under the patriarchy are inherently less traumatic than cis women. Anti-transmasc oppression is literally misogyny in shrooms. You're seen as JUST a butch (already evil) but you're treated like a weird exotic monkey for creeps to fetishize and old fem cishet ladies to clutch pearls at. Transmascs still fight for their anti-patriarchal masculinity daily. I'm saying so as someone who went both roads. Both suck in unique ways. Men who faced misogyny in childhood and are oppressed medically by misogynistic society will always deserve a seat at the table.
