FTW-studio

FTW-studio is a group of IT students who want to give game development a try. Originally we started out as "GameDev" at our college.. We managed to get most of the important things done and started developing blue prints for our ideas. So far we have several game blue prints done, and we chose 3 for our first project, the development is entirely up to the team who wants to develop a game. change log for version 0.11

A huge bug report was send to the FTW-studio Gmail. Thanks to Soren for all the detailed descriptions of bugs.

Not all the bugs have been changed, but the major game breaking bugs have been solved.

bugs changes in version 0.11

Major Glitches: -got stuck in a roof somehow when walking down from the field back to the town (you get stuck here if you go straight down from the road) I had to make a new game because it was impossible to get back

-in the mine if you try to mine an ore block an error appears “unable to find file audio/Se/evasion, the game crashes then

-when you enter the area with the old bridge and the unreachable chest with trees you cannot move back to the lumberjack’s place

-you cannot leave the bandit camps and go back to the forest after beating the minions

- if you sleep at the hotel you get an error and the game crashes (both the beds and the lady do this). The error message says: Script ‘game_actors’ line 19: TypeError occurred no implicit conversion from nil to integer

Graphical Glitches: -bottom part of lamp in graveyard is walkable on (also looks a little out of place)

-you can walk over the big hole that leads to the mines also there is also an unopenable chest here, is it just suppose to be decoration?

-green plant and part of the pillars in market is walkable over

-Inside the fish hut that is to the right of market, the wall is partially walkable on

-to the right of the knights house there looks like there is a small dirt path where you can go to the beach but it is impossible to go through the path

-graphics for mayors house on top look a bit strange/blurry

-there is stone graphics at the temple entrance you walk under

Text Glitches: -when you say “no” to helping the text with your sister where she says “no ralph please express your feelings! don’t keep them bottled up inside!” is slightly glitches the “your” part is cut off and it just has a “y”

-text glitch at mayor house one of the guards says “yes you must be Ralph. Come with me please” but the “se” is cut off from the word please

-in the chests in the temple there is a space missing between the amount of gold and the word gold its like “400gold found”

After those 7 days the download link will not work again, but I will find a solution to this. looking for alpha testers for alpha version release

hello everyone

as you may or may not know, I’m developing my own game in RPG game maker VX ace, and currently I’m working really hard in my spare time on chapter 1 of the game the game is called “the valley of the guardian”, it’s a old school top down RPG game like most of us are familiar with and I’m looking for alpha version testers

and several other major aspects of the game are still missing like crafting and building your house, smiting (upgrading), mining and side quests other features like fishing, repeatable side quests, giving the player the ability to change their character name/class/background are all still in consideration nevertheless, I need you, the player, to give me feedback on the game if you are interested you can send me a message to my inbox, put your Email address in it as well so that I can keep track of all the people who are interested, or send me a Email to [email protected] in case you successfully completed the test phase and send me the last phrase you will automatically be added to the beta sign up, and you’ll be ranked as a official alpha tester, if you want your name will be included in the credits  further information about the alpha release will come as soon as I have it for you
