Hello! This is the writing/ranting tumblr of fearnoworld. Here you will find my rantings and raving and writings over a lot of things (probably otp things) because I promised my friend I'd stop bothering her with them! So now I bother everyone
Lllllllllllllllllllllllladies and gentlemen! I know we just made a post and so this is kind of spam-y, but due to the sudden overwhelming interest, I think it’s safe to announce already that we’re back!
So, here is your official welcome to Round Two of BTS Rare Pairs! We’re a challenge that essentially is dedicated to writing fic about our not-so-popular ships in fandom. We hosted the first round on livejournal last year, and you can check that out here.
This year, we’re currently debating between we want to keep it open as a challenge or make it an exchange, so feel free to share any of your thoughts with us on twitter or through the tumblr ask box (anon is on, yes). Speaking of twitter, follow us at btsrarepairs for live updates, as well as our ongoing poll of whether we’re going to host the challenge on aor or livejournal, so make sure to vote there. See you all on the flip side!
We’re thinking about throwing this again because we’ve seen interest around it so I’ll make this here post. Spread this around to show us you’re thinking about signing up for a round 2 of a BTS rarepair fic challenge! We can get out to you guys what would be considered a rarepair (using the same formula as last time), but for now assume it’s the same pairs as last event.

the 30 day au challenge was really weird actually lol, it was something i was doing with friends. currently its on hiatus bc i’ve started working on another actual full fledged fic and with school as well i’ve just put it off. ANYWAY, what we did was we all put some au prompts on a doc, chose 30, then randomized the order. most of us found random au scenarios on tumblr but some we made up on our own. hope that answer your question!

There is a distinct pleasure in knowing something someone doesn't know you know. It's like a secret, but better because you can tell it whenever you want. And, in Donghyuk's case, whenever he wants is after seeing how far Junhwe can dig himself into a whole.
"Can you stop chewing on your pencil." Junhwe looks over his laptop screen to throw Donghyuk a sneer.
"Even when we study together and he chews on his pencil and- It's cute, it shouldn't be cute. Why? He's annoying," Junhwe slurred.
"I'm sorry about that man," Hanbin sounds amused, "Let's get you home, now."
"It's gross."
The whole is a lot deeper than Donghyuk could have imagined.
"I'm just thinking, sorry." He is, indeed, agonizing over this five page essay about how 1960s funk has made it's way back into current pop music, though it's not the only thing on his mind. He's also thinking about how Junhwe managed to complain about Donghyuk chewing on his pen when Junhwe has to go out of his way to even see Donghyuk over his laptop.
"Whatever." Also, the way that Junhwe glances down at Donghyuk's lips before he focuses back on whatever work he's doing. This whole crush thing has got to be new to Junhwe, that or he's never gotten over his 'being mean to someone shows you like them' stage.
Donghyuk sighs, then smiles over at Junhwe, who is refusing to look. "Can you help me? Just for, like, ten minutes?"
"No, don't you pay attention in class? And, I'm writing my English history paper." All through it, Junhwe doesn't look over or acknowledge Donghyuk at all. Donghyuk is thoroughly done trying to throw Junhwe numerous ways of being a decent human being.
"Fine." Though, it's a little cute when Junhwe looks over, quickly looks away, then mutters curses at himself.
"Why do I always fuck up, hyung? Tell me?" Junhwe whines, then there's a loud thunk like someone hit a table. "I want to be nice, I want him to like me. Why do I act so stupid, hyung."
There's shuffling and a small 'oomf.' "Junhwe when you figure that out, you'll figure out a lot of couple's problems. Why don't you think about it as we walk home, yeah?" Hanbin is basically laughing as he speaks. "Oh, you're phone fell into the booth-
"I'll- I'll help after I finish this page." He's ignoring Donghyuk's gaze again, but this time his cheeks are tinted and his typing is very slow. Very adorable- "But, if it takes me an hour it's not my fault."
Even if it's Junhwe, it's adorable.
Donghyuk grins, catching Junhwe's eyes for the split second that they look his way. Then, Junhwe's back to looking at his laptop screen as he shifts around in his seat.
Prompt: “You and your friends have been playing the penis game in the library for the last five minutes and none of you have gotten above a quiet yell and i’m really just trying to study over here so i’m gonna put an end to this by winning the game” AU

There are many adjectives in this world that could be used to describe Yoongi (though if you ask Namjoon there's only one) and brash is one of them. Or maybe reckless is better, but what is the difference between them really? That's why he yelled penis so loud that now everyone in his section of the library is staring at him like he's killed their dog (with a few snickers of laughter here and there). If you really had to be specific, it was actually because of the two idiots at the table in front of him that made him do it.
Yoongi had gotten there first, that's a fact. Yoongi had also chosen this section because it was the quietest part of the library, another fact. The two guys across from him, one light brown hair and can't look Yoongi in the eye, the other black hair who has this playful glint that Yoongi doesn't like, are probably freshman who have not had the opportunity to gain maturity yet, the last fact. And all these facts lead up to Yoongi getting so (rightfully) annoyed that the other two were whispering penis at each other, growing louder one eighteenth of a decibel at a time, that he had just decided to shout it and end the game.
Maybe Namjoon would say it was because Yoongi was an asshole, that's always what Namjoon says, but who listens to Namjoon anyway.
"Penis." The black haired guy shouts and it is, regrettably, louder than Yoongi's last shout. Regrettably because the guy is grinning at him and that playful glint is now a challenge that Yoongi can't ignore.
"Penis." Yoongi yells, then closes his laptop to fully focus on the guy and try to scare him into submission since Yoongi would like to be done with this and get back to his English literature assignment.
"Penis!" Now everybody in the nearby area is staring and, despite the evil looks, this guy is still smiling at Yoongi.
Well, then. "Penis."
And that is the story of how Yoongi met Jung Hoseok. Also, in a completely unrelated fashion, the story of how got banned from the library for a month.

This might have been the same cheesesteak Bobby has eaten three times in the past five days, but goddamn if he doesn't bite into it and feel like he's straight on his way to heaven.
"I fucking love you, y'know." The waiter, Junhwe by his name tag, yet whenever Bobby calls him that he gets quite grumpy (though when is he ever not), stares at him unimpressed and, yes, grumpy like a confession of undying love doesn't deserve at least a little bit of a smile. Whatever, it wasn't for him anyway, it was for the sandwich. This amazing sandwich sent from God to allow Bobby to truck through his graveyard shift.
"Would you like anything else?" He asks, more in the tone of a threat like 'if you ask for something else I might kill you" which Bobby is almost tempted to test him on. He does realize that not everyone accumulates well to working late nights, so he'll give this guy a pass. Even though Junhwe definitely has been working the diners night shift the entire time since Bobby discovered it a week ago and should be used to it by now. Some people are just assholes.
"Nah." Bobby grins and the waiter manages to turn around before he can complete a single syllable. It's impressive, really.

The day usually starts with Bobby walking into the bathroom, almost into the bathroom door because his eyes are almost shut, to brush his teeth as he waits for whoever's in the shower to finish. Depending on the day (and Hanbin) who exactly is in the shower as Bobby goes through this routine changes. If he wakes up early (for him), it's Jinhwan inside and if he wakes up late, there's Yunhyung, who manages to make a song out of how late they'll probably be for their first schedule. Basically, Bobby is sometimes last, but certainly not first and he hates that he can't use as much hot water as he wants or doesn't have any in the first place.
The solution is to shower at night, or that's the only thing Bobby can come up with because waking up the earliest is not an ability he has, even though he always gets home so tired, he wants to fall onto his bed and sleep (and usually does). This is why, when he manages to make his way into the bathroom with his eyes threatening to close like it's the morning, he has to take a second when he sees Donghyuk. Or, to be more specific, his back. It doesn't help that when Donghyuk is done wiping at his face, realizing that Bobby is there, he turns around so fast it's actually very impressive.
"Hey hyung." He grins, but backs up as Bobby takes a step forward. "Don't you usually shower in the morning?"
"I wanted to sleep in. Hey, did you get a tattoo?"
"Yes."
"You didn't get a tattoo." No matter how bad Bobby is at reading people's faces, Donghyuk's eyes lighting up when he said tattoo was the worst tell in the world. Plus, Donghyuk doesn't seem the tattoo type.
Donghyuk blinks, "What?"
Bobby takes another step and Donghyuk backs into the shower. "Is it a scar?"
"Yes?" Another step and Donghyuk's back is against the shower wall. It's actually very amusing, but Bobby's more focused on figuring out what the two weird dark things that were on Donghyuk's shoulder blades. And why Donghyuk won't tell them what it is.
"Why are you lying?" He pouts which tends to work with Donghyuk-
"Hyung." Apparently not today, instead Donghyuk whines and inches his way along the shower walls with his back against them the whole time. "It doesn't matter, okay? I'm going to leave so you can shower now."
It's so fast when Donghyuk sprints out the door and it also doesn't help that Bobby is too tired to react properly. He was gonna grab onto the towel around Donghyuk's waist and make him come back to get it unless he was determined enough to run around naked just to avoid Bobby. At least he gets a view of Donghyuk's back again, dark bruise shapes on his shoulder blades with a small mound in the middle.
He'll worry about it tomorrow.
(Or he'll think about it tonight, mind wandering as he tries to drift to sleep and-
"Donghyuk's an angel." He says it a bit loud, but Hanbin snores loudly and shifts in his sleep.)

How is it possible that Yoongi can criticize Namjoon about never going to the gym when Yoongi can barely lift a twenty five pound dumbbell and has been known to stay in his room for an entire weekend without moving. Him getting Namjoon a gym membership to the gym down the street is a joke, an absolute joke.
Yet, here Namjoon is, standing in front of the door to the gym, having an internal debate over how stupid this is. Namjoon does work out, either runs sometimes or does random exercises when he feels he should. He definitely does more than Yoongi, but he does realize having an actual schedule would be better. The last time he went to the gym was back in college when he had a free one and was surrounded by many other people who didn't know what they were doing. Now, he's seen about five muscle heads walk in and give him a look that had him pretend like he was staring at the cafe next door.
"If you're afraid-" The voice has him jump slightly, and he hears a light laugh. "Sorry, but you're staring at the door like you're afraid to go in."
Namjoon turns around, annoyed that the guy would even suggest that because who is afraid to go to the gym. How does one get scared at all the strange machinese and jacked guys benching maybe twice what Namjoon weighs? It's not scary, maybe- just a little- intimidating, but nothing like Namjoon's frightened. And Namjoon would certainly tell the other that commenting on someone being scared to do something does not at all make it easier to do (and sounds very conceited). Though, when he turn and sees the guy, he pauses. He expected someone like those five other dudes, muscle bulging, wearing shorts even though fall is changing to winter, and carrying a galleon of water, not this rather average looking guy. Well, build-wise he's average, face-wise- Namjoon will just focus on a guy who looks as built as him hounding him about not entering the gym.
"I'm a trainer so, I could always help." That's another surprise which seems to show on Namjoon's face with the way the guy grins. "I'm less body builder and more Olympic runner."
"Olympic, huh?"
"You wanna try it? Let's do a race or something?" This is one hundred percent a tactic to make Namjoon go into the gym and, probably, earn this guy his paycheck. But, Namjoon's okay with that because he figure if he can beat this guy, he would prove to himself going to the gym isn't so bad. Or, if he at least goes even. Namjoon does like running and has long legs, definitely longer than the other guy's at least, so it shouldn't be that bad.
"Sure." He shrugs, it's not a big deal, but the smile on the other's face makes it seems like it is.
(It is because this guy is a big deal. Seems, he's one of the most, if not the most, popular trainers at the gym from how he's greeted when he walks in.
Also, he manages to run about two laps to Namjoon's one.)
He dies and dies and dies and dies and dies until he's reached the point where now he feels like he's died more than he's lived. Yoongi shuts his eyes to welcome death, to open them in the next life like an endless day with no sleep. People who try to escape death don't understand that what they're chasing is the most tiring existence in the universe. It's a never-ending cycle with no solution.
But as he sits in some coffee shop, pencil tapping away at his notebook, trying to get all his thoughts down, Yoongi wants to fix that. There's been many times where he's tried to figure out what exactly this is, what exactly he is. He's been like this a thousand times over. It's yet to work, but it definitely won't ever work if he can't concentrate. He left his earbuds at home, so nothing separates his thoughts from melding in with the background music, chatter, and laughter. High pitched, giggly laughter that triggers a memory in Yoongi that shouldn't matter because-
Yoongi dies.
And when he reaches the age of ten, he remembers everything.
And when he reaches the age of twenty, the people he's met, the places he's gone, all the memories blend into that everything so that he can't distinguish this life from the previous one from the many hundreds of others.
So, that laughter doesn't matter. Not when he knows that he's seen so many people in his lives that people start to repeat in their phrases, voices, laughter- Yoongi quickly stands up, stuffing his notebook in his bag and packing everything else up. It's annoying here, loud, too much background noise, too many people, too many memories. He needs to go.
His eyes sweep over the place on instinct, but his eyes catch on dark brown hair. On eyes that are crescent moons. On that wide smile that Yoongi had promised to keep in his memory bank and is horribly surprised he did. Yoongi thinks he understands something in that moment, something that he forgot a long time ago.
Ignore it, Yoongi decides. Ignore it because it doesn't matter, because it's a fake, because what will he even say, because it doesn't matter.
Not when the only truth is that Yoongi dies and comes back, but no one else does.
So, he leaves before he walks over to the only person he ever wished could stay with him for just one more lifetime.

When Bobby checks his watch and reads two in the morning, it's a surprise for him. Mostly because he expected it to be later and realizes that his sense of time has been royally fucked up from that day he stayed up until like seven in the morning. That wasn't his fault. He was playing the see 'how long it takes Hanbin to sleep if Bobby won't leave until he does' game which ended up in Bobby losing. He thought the other would force himself to go back in order to make Bobby go back, but instead he waited until Bobby fell asleep and Bobby had woken up with a blanket on him and Hanbin still working away at the sound board.
Just as he is, right now, at two in the morning in the recording room and at the sound board even though they've been done with practice for at least an hour. This is why Hanbin has those strange rumors following him that the trainees like to whisper like Hanbin can't hear. Maybe he doesn't, but Bobby does and he's given a lot of glares to some scared little children that he regrets after a while (only for a few minutes because he is trying to teach them the valuable lesson of minding your own business).
"Hey. It's two in the morning." He tells Hanbin like the other doesn't already know. They've gone through this routine ever since they were those scared little trainees: Bobby goes in to grab his things before he goes back to the dorm, sees Hanbin in the recording room (or dance studio or lounge or, rarely, the gym) and tells him the time as a way to get him to leave, then he waves at Hanbin as he leaves because the other cannot function without staying up past four.
Hanbin turns back, giving a look like he's amused Bobby is still trying to subtly tell him to sleep. Sure, Hanbin doesn't look as tired as someone who doesn't ever seem to sleep should look, but that doesn't mean he gets a pass on the human need for sleep.
So, Bobby breaks their norm a bit. He sits down at the chair next to Hanbin instead of grabbing his things and leaving. At least it gets Hanbins attention, though it's only a small smile.
"Hanbin-ah." There's a long pause because he doesn't know what to say. Jinhwan's good at being able to order Hanbin around without it seeming like ordering, but Bobby is not. All that really enter his head is the rumors of Hanbin never sleeping, being pale, being very stuck up and thus obviously being- "Are you a vampire?"
"What?" Hanbin says, but cracks up mid reply into a laughing fit that seems to last the longest Bobby has seen the other laugh. "No, I am not a vampire. I don't even like seeing blood, much less drinking it."
"Right." Not that Bobby expected any different (he has seen Hanbin eat garlic and out in the sun and touch a cross so), but that would have been a better explanation for Hanbin's inability to sleep. Insomnia? Hanbin was born without the need for sleep? Werewolf?
"Why won't you sleep?" Bobby settles for whining and pushing at Hanbin's arm.
"I do." Hanbin pushes at Bobby back, grinning. "I'm fine, really. Trust me." Bobby doesn't. Not at all. But, he's not going to push it when Hanbin looks done with the issue, already turned back to the laptop screen (instead he'll get Jinhwan to do it tomorrow). He's also never going to do the 'stay up until Hanbin sleeps' game again because he's pretty sure, even if he went home right now, he's still not going to sleep until around six. If Hanbin's going to stay here and Bobby's won't be tired until six, they might as well stay up together.
"Are you staying here again?" Hanbin snorts as Bobby reclines back in the chair.
"Yep." And his eyes are daring leader Hanbin to say something about sleeping when he won't follow it himself.
Instead, Hanbin chuckles and turns the laptop so Bobby can see it to. "Want to help me, then?"
There's a bit of hesitation after Jimin tells him because, well, it's completely absurd. Despite all the tricks and unexplained happenings that Namjoon has experienced as a direct result of Jimin coming into his life, it's still unbelievable.
Demon.
"Are you okay?" Jimin reaches out to touch his shoulder and Namjoon pulls back without thinking, apparently even though his brain doesn't believe it, his body still acts on instinct. The demons are evil in every sense of the word and only do bad things instinct. Even if this specific demon looks entirely too hurt that Namjoon jerked away from his touch.
"Sorry, but-" The end of that sentence is unclear. Sorry, but you're a demon and you could probably kill me with only your hand. Sorry, but you scare me now even though one second ago I was totally fine with a hug. Sorry, but you just told me you were a demon and I need a bit of time to think. Sorry, but- "Sorry." That's all Namjoon can think to say with Jimin still staring at him, eyes watching every little thing he does. Before, it was unnerving for a totally different reason than it is now.
"I guess you believe me then?" His tone is light, playful even, but his eyes are still so upset that Namjoon can't hold his gaze. This is his fault and Namjoon's reaction is justified, yet he's the one who feels bad.
"You gave a lot of evidence, especially the whole eye thing." He shrugs, glancing over to see Jimin doing it again. Now, it's frightening instead of interesting when his eyes glow and the buzzed feeling in his brain- Namjoon immediately looks away. "Can you not?"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Maybe Namjoon having said it so rushed and urgent prompted Jimin's scared reaction. "It won't hurt you or anything, I promise. Nothing bad will happen."
Namjoon laughs, it just bubbles out of him without him realizing. A demon promising to protect him. A demon with that sad and pitiful expression as he watches Namjoon laugh. A demon. Park Jimin is a demon.

There's something, some type of sunken feeling mixed with a bunch of cloudy thoughts and something else that Namjoon feels when he wakes up. It's not a headache, but it feels worse than one which is the strangest part.
"Hyung?" It's Jimin's voice that joins the creaking of the door opening. Quiet, like he's not trying to wake Namjoon up to get him to hurry up and wash before their schedule today. "Are you up?"
Namjoon groans and tries to shakes this feeling out of his body as he sits up. The door opens wider and Jimin smile as he enters the room is almost as small as his voice.
"You remember where we're going today?" Jimin asks, coming in to sit next to Namjoon on the bed.
"Uh." It surprises him when he has to think about it, even if he's just woken up and he feels like his brain is unable to think. Whenever he gets like this he can still recite every schedule they have to do, engrained into his mind because it has to be. "Some photoshoot? Oh, the winter gear photoshoot, right?"
It's quick, so quick, how in Jimin's eyes there's a flash of disappointment and his lips tremble as he holds up his smile. There's also a prick of pain in Namjoon's chest and that something he was feeling gets worse until he has to turn away, stare at the wooden floor to make his brain concentrate. And as soon as he does, everything is back to normal.
"Yeah, you got it." Jimin says, poking Namjoon in the arm. "You've got forty minutes before we have to leave and Jin-hyung's in the shower."
"Shit," Namjoon mumbles, then sighs. He looks back over at Jimin, at that the small smile that seems off, and the familiar sunken feeling returns. "What?"
"Nothing, hyung, just hurry up." Jimin stands up suddenly, then leaves the room and it should be normal, but it isn't. Namjoon feels like there's something, again something he can't place and it's the most annoying feeling in the world, different and off and absolutely wrong. There's no time to think about it, not when he hears the shower cut off and he has to quickly scrounge around his room to get ready for his turn.
Prompt: You’re one of those people who thought this class would be an easy grade, but jokes on you it’s not and now you’re begging me for help since you don’t know jack shit about music - choir au

Junhwe likes studying alone, completely alone, where there's none of Donghyuk's obnoxious typing or Yunhyung's constant need to talk as he does anything or any type of distractions whatsoever. That's why he took months to find this spot in the library where he now always goes to sit and study. It's a two person desk that's hidden away in a corner and easily able to be looked over so that people rarely ever come near him. Completely quiet and no disturbances, perfect. He's even able to leave his earbuds out as he takes notes because he's only surrounded by his own thoughts.
Until there's the gentle tapping on the other side of the table.
"Hey, sorry to bother you." Junhwe sighs, then glances over and he doesn't know what he expected, but certainly not the guy from his Arrangement class that he rarely actually sees in class. "You're in my Arrangement class, right?"
"Yes."
The guy grins wide, "Alright. My name's Bobby, by the way." He takes the seat across from Junhwe, placing his backpack on the desk. It takes a few seconds of Junhwe being speechless before his brain finally catches up.
"What are you doing?"
"There's an online quiz due in like two hours and I've been searching this library for someone in this class because I don't understand it at all. You're a godsend, you know that?" He looks over again, still grinning, then pulls out his laptop and starts typing away. It's just as obnoxious as Donghyuk.
"Wha- I- I can't help you." This is all so weird and unexpected, it's taking a while for Junhwe's brain to keep up. There is a quiz today, but he did it a while ago since he knew today he'd be studying for his Composition test tomorrow. "I've got to study-"
"C'mon, man. I really need the help, I don't get this quiz at all." He's not paying attention to Junhwe's annoyance at all, only focused on his laptop screen which irritates Junhwe more.
"That's because you're never in class!" It comes out of Junhwe's mouth because it's ahead of his thoughts. He's in no way keeping track of the other's attendance or anything, but in a class of around thirty he notices when someone is rarely there. That's it. But, the look Bobby gives him is amused confusion that jumbles Junhwe's brain. Why is he suddenly focused on Junhwe when he wasn't before?
"My friend told me it was an easy class and the professor doesn't take attendance, so." Bobby shrugs, turning the laptop towards Junhwe. It's currently on question one, meaning Bobby hadn't even attempted to try the first question yet.
"I'm not just giving you the answers."
"No, I only need some help, okay? I promise I'll start coming to class if you help."
Junhwe ignores the smile, ignores the tone, and would really love to ignore Bobby all together. "Will you leave after?"
"Yeah, sure." That's all Junhwe needs. He slides his laptop to the side, then pulls Bobby's forward, not expecting Bobby to then stand up and bring his chair over to sit next to Junhwe. Honestly, he takes back what he said before. If just doing the entire quiz for the other will get him to leave, academic honesty be damned because he's getting this guy out of his face.
"Do you understand anything the professor says?"
"Because I've gone to all the classes, yes." Junhwe glares over, "Do you even know what this question means?"
Bobby grins again and Junhwe's really starting to hate it. "Not really, which is when I knew I was fucked and I went on my adventure that led me to you. What's your name, by the way?"
"Junhwe."
"Okay, Junhwe, be my tutor for today. I'll get you something."
"Right." If that something was just Bobby leaving him alone for the rest of the semester, Junhwe would be happy, but he doesn't say that because he likes people owing him things. "Let me throw out this question for you." Yoongi is being dragged, literally because Hoseok is pulling him by the hand, to the ice rink to skate when he hates skating. "Why can't you and Taehyung go by yourselves?"
Wouldn't they want that? Hoseok and Taehyung are currently a "thing in progress," which basically means dating, but you don't bring friends on dates. That is why Yoongi really doesn't understand why he's here when he could be sitting at home, like an hour ago, comfortably doing nothing. What made him leave the relaxation of laying on the couch on his computer was he had received an "urgent" text from Hoseok telling him to meet him a the subway station right now. So, Yoongi left because he was trying to be a good friend since he thought urgent meant Hoseok was in fucking danger or upset or something more than just wanting Yoongi to join him on a date with Taehyung.
"Because we get a discount if we have four people or more." Hoseok grins when he looks back and it's so annoying that Yoongi jerks his hand back. "C'mon, it'll be fun. Taehyung brought his friend too so you two can bond."
Yoongi glares over. "You know, I hate you." But, it's not like those words means anything about this situation is going to change. Yoongi wasted subway money to get here and he's not leaving without getting something out of it. He rolls his eyes at Hoseok's pout and walks towards the ice rink, ignoring Hoseok's continued insistence that it'll be a good time. Whatever, he's just making sure the other pays.
Now, Yoongi doesn't hate Taehyung at all; he can be off the wall at times and a bit strange, but he's really funny and no one can be all bad if Hoseok likes them. The problem is that when Yoongi and Hoseok are close enough to see Taehyung, because of his bright orange hair, yet still too far away to do anything, Taehyung waves with his entire body and Hoseok lights up before grabbing Yoongi's arm and pulling him to go faster. This he hates.
Maybe, he just hates couples.
"Hey," Taehyung grins over at Hoseok as they finally approach.
"Hi." And they're only staring at each other, not even introducing Yoongi to the guy next to Taehyung who looks just as irritated as him. At least, that's what Yoongi sees in his eyes since the guy's face is mostly hidden by his huge scarf.
Yoongi sighs, breaking the gaze and having Taehyung look over at him. "Hey, Yoongi-hyung."
He gives a grunt of acknowledgement, then looks over at Hoseok. "Are we gonna go in?"
"Yeah, it's like eight each-"
"Wait," the other guy turns to Taehyung, frown etched on his face. "I thought you'd pay for me since you made me come?"
"Huh?" Taehyung blinks twice, looking over at Hoseok, then back at his friend.
"Yeah, that should be the deal." Yoongi nudges at Hoseok. "I don't even like ice skating so why should I pay?"
"Neither do I."
"It's regularly eighteen, right? You're still paying less than if we didn't come."
Hoseok and Taehyung are both making the same face, confused and blinking eyes, then they look over at each other. It takes a minute of some silent conversation before Hoseok sighs.
"You buy everything else by yourself when we're inside, right?"
Yoongi glances over at the other guy, who gives a small nod. "Yeah sure." It's not like they want the two to pay for everything, besides the skating he could just buy something to drink and sit down to watch them. Or, a better idea would be him easily slipping away once the two are all enthralled with their date.
The two look at each other again, then turn to walk inside for an admissions ticket.
"Do you really not like ice skating?" The guy asks as he unravels his scarf, revealing a wide eyed, probably younger than Taehyung looking guy.
"It's so cold out and I'd rather not pay to stay cold."
The guy grins, two bunny teeth sticking out as he does. "I don't really mind it, but I didn't want to pay."
"Smart kid." Yoongi nods, looking back over at the admissions line where Taehyung and Hoseok are towards the middle, ling going pretty fast. Only a few more minutes and Yoongi can go in, grab some hot chocolate, then go on his merry way back home.
"I guess you're not buying skates, then? Did you want to go in, buy food and go, because I was doing an essay before I came and I really should go back."
This time Yoongi smiles over. "Did Taehyung say it was urgent?"
"He said a matter of life and death, like-" The guy frowns over at the admissions stands.
"What was your name?"
"Oh, Jungkook." He looks Yoongi up and down, then gives a curious look. "It was Yoongi-hyung, right?"
"Yep and," Yoongi looks back over at the other two, watching as they finally pay for the tickets and start to head over. "I'll probably end up leaving to."
