FSAO comments on their demo tracks

Susumu: The party on 7/16 will be featuring all of fsao's original songs. For those of you anxiously waiting for that day, we've decided to release our demo tracks. There may be some pros and cons to doing this, but I hope you will give them a listen. So when the day comes, please enjoy the raw sound of our music. It's not on tape so you can listen all you want without wearing it out. 

Ryo: As the RT says, we have released fsao's demo tracks before our live on 7/16. I couldn't wait to share while I was finalizing things, so I ended up uploading these. I'm simply making the music that I love. Please give it a listen.

Saki: Ryo-chan did his best mixing and fine-tuning everything. Shin-chan did his best arranging the music. Yosshi did his best to add his own explosive flavor to give us originality. And Susumu-san spent a lot of his valuable time on us. As for me, I was just there to say "Sounds good!!!" lol

Yoshiya: We've uploaded 6 demo songs for fsao☆ These babies are still rough around the edges, but please give them a listen. Learn them well before the live on 7/16, okay!! I'll be awaiting your feedback☆ʕ •́؈•̀ ₎

FSAO finally released some demo tracks to hear!!! 

唯、嫌悪を打ちつける雨 -tada keno o uchitsukeru ame- (Simply, rain that beats down hate)

待ち焦がれた雪の夜に見た夢 -machikogareta yuki no yoru ni mita yume- (a dream of a long awaited snowy night)

慟哭の果て -doukoku no hate- (result of lament) 

終の刻を告げる花 -owari no kiza o tsugeru hana- (flower that delivers the final cut)

憧憬慕情 -shoukei bojou- (feelings of yearning)

Walking Dead Season 6... I just finished watching the third episode, and now all that motivation I had today is just gone.

Do your best and keep living. It’s just a little bit more than a month left until fsao’s first live.

It’s only a copy live event, But I’m going to enjoy it to the fullest.

Is it because of Walking Dead? I wrote a good song in such a short amount of time. I’m leaving the lyrics up to Susumu-san, so I haven’t written any meaningful words (kotodama) for the song...

Right now fsao is together making our own original songs. We have to, or else we can’t decide where to go from here (laughs)

On December 4th (Fri) we should be able to make some kind of announcement, but for now this is a progress report.

All we have are up-tempo songs, but we want to have a ballad among them, so we’re leaving it to Shin-chan...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to アヲイ

Ryo: 

It’s been a year. Even now this day, October 22nd, holds something special.  And from this point on, it will always feel special, huh.

The scenery, the emotions, the tears, and the smiles from that day, I’ll never forget them until the day I die. 

Awoi made a huge impact on my life. Awoi let me meet so many different people.

Awoi is just a memory? I don’t believe that for a second.

Saki: 

Today is kind of a special day.

Should I try playing the songs that I haven’t played in a year... Can I even play the fast songs anymore... (laughs)

Hi there! I was wondering if there were any recent pics of Shin, Ryo, and Saki, mainly for FSAO or even slightly before? Most of the pictures I find are from around February. :/

There /is/ a band photo up, but it’s so dark and they’re standing so far in the back, you can hardly tell who is who X’D

Other than that, I have nothing. The most recent picture I’ve seen from any of them was this post from Ryo when he was drinking with Saki back in June.

Hopefully we’ll see some more official photos soon!

If I were to live again, after the part of me who loved music was killed and dead, then let's play music again and happily cross over.

That’s the sole reason that fsao exists.

Osaka - Awoi Shin Blog Translation

October 22 2014

At the Osaka Big Cat. Thank you all, so, so, so much. When I think back on that day, it seems like it was just a dream. But playing the best live ever in the totally sold-out Big Cat concert hall really happened. And also… Awoi really disbanded. After surprising and upsetting you with that news, the next day I told you “We aren’t just progressing towards “breaking up”, but towards “the best Awoi show ever”. And I think we really made that happen. I don’t know what everyone thinks, but personally I can say that with pride. That it was Awoi’s best show of all time. I don’t want to mess up your memories of what you saw, heard and felt on that day with my clumsy words, so I won’t say anything more. I believe that I have already communicated it to you. Thank you. This is for everyone who supported us from far away as well.

10 Year Anniversary and Disbanding (Awoi Shou Blog Translation)

I’m sorry this took so long. It’s finally starting to sink in that we disbanded, so now I can write about it. Awoi, the band I started with Otogi 10 years ago, was able to finish with a sold out show at Big Cat.

We have had lives where less than 10 people came.

Time and time again we nearly quit as well. But from the bottom of my heart I am glad we continued! Look at this, this spectacle!

It was the best freaking show ever!★

Each song we did has memories attached to it, and they came back to me That thing that happened at that time on that tour! and stuff like that. We were more Awoi than Awoi has ever been to the very end.

But this was only possible because of out beloved fans that have supported us! Every word, every action that you guys do gives a band more strength than you know!

Thank you all so much! The fact that you were our fans is my pride! The songs we are leaving to this world will remain, so I also believe you will remember what you saw and felt. Are you glad you met Awoi?? Is it still painful? Are you still sad?? There’s nothing wrong with that. I feel the same.

You lot are the same as me, who also loved Awoi.

So someday, somewhere we will meet again! From now on, your uncle Shou will continue to slowly do music! ^_^ I will literally keep on enjoying music!

After 10 years of Awoi (Awoi Ryo Blog Translation)

I’m terrible at putting things into words but,

I’ll write in my own way now.

Thanks for your hard work, everyone who came! LOL

I bet your neck hurts, right?

My neck still hurts.

Ya’ll were great,  you guys are really amazing cool fans! And everyone who couldn’t come on the night,

Thank you for everything you did until now.

I bet you had to put up with your friends givin’ you the side-eye all like “Are you bloody listening to Awoi again?”, right? LOL

But you liked us so much you still came to our shows, ya know.

Well, in any case,

A couple of days ago we were able to reach our 10 year anniversary without any big accidents.

Thanks so much to everyone who supported us til now. During the live, the feeling that it was the last,

And that we were disbanding was there, so of course I felt sad and lonely, but even now I can barely believe it’s over.

I just feel like I saw a huge dream come true.

But my memories solidly remain.

Humans are weird like that, huh?

At the end I borrowed the mic to say this but,

Thank you all so, so much for loving Awoi.

You said we taught you how to laugh, how to see life, and other things that make my chest puff out, but it was really me who learnt those things from you.

You guys are the pride of my life.

Almost like you guys are a part of my body LOL

Thank you so much for protecting Awoi for the 5 and a bit years until I joined.

I am so glad I was Awoi’s drummer.

There were a lot of really really painful things that happened, maybe more than fun things, but in the end the fun stuff was really awesome.

Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

Let’s all go drinking again some time, hey?

OTG During our shows you were always doing really weird stuff, Like, sometimes you even looked like a gorilla, But I actually really liked drumming while watching you from behind. It pains me to say this, but you are really cool. Like, I thought I was so hot that no-one would notice you sometimes, but you were cooler than me right to the end. After the first time I practised with Awoi, it made me so happy that you invited me to grab a bite to eat with you.

Shou-kun,

Shou-kun is the member who I played around with the most. Acting the fool, getting drunk and talking about important stuff. From the time I entered, he was the one that both understood me the most and also conversely had the weirdest opinions on things. He doesn’t have a public and personal face, just the one honest face, and I liked that but was also really jealous of it. Being the leader of members like this must have been hard on you, right? Thanks again for everything you did for me.

Saki-kun

Thank you for being a close family friend. I really love Saki-kun’s family.

When we first met, Saki-kun said the harshest things to me, and I thought he was really full of himself and stuff, you know, LOL But then one day he put on a DVD of Luna Sea in the car and at that moment, we opened our hearts to each other. As we were both in the rhythm section of the band, and really pushed each other on, I think that I was able to grow up thanks to Saki-kun.

I talked to him about things that were worrying me, so both publicly and privately I don’t have a friend better than him.

Hiro-san Thank you for coming to see our last live. Showing us your tears backstage at our last show, and the letter you sent me the next day made me so happy. We never spent any time together, but you were definitely a very important member of the band to me. The fact that you so kindly thought of me as you would yourself adds another reason I am so glad I was in Awoi. Thank you so much.

And finally, Shin-chan.

It makes the other members jealous that I only call you “-chan” and treat you specially, LOL We both joined the band half-way through, but we’ve known each other for about 10 years too. We were in a band together before Awoi, and joining Awoi together was really reassuring to me. We even met each other again by chance at an Awoi live, hey?

Whenever I got emotional, you level-headedly supported me, and you took on responsibilities that the other members didn’t want to do, and I think I caused you a lot of trouble. I’m sorry.

Maybe it’s because of his matureness, but whenever we were together I was able to be the most relaxed. Even though we’re the same age LOL

Thank you so much.

I’m glad I pulled you in to become Awoi with me, OTG, Shou-kun and Saki-kun LOL

To my fans:

You have all found Awoi at different times, but I don’t really think of it as a long or short time- there’s no difference to me. I am just so happy for every day that you felt for us. I know I said it before, but thank you so much.

From now on, At any time you want to listen to Awoi, please do. Our music will surely carry the burden of your life for you.

A full-stop has been typed at the end of Awoi’s history, but memories don’t work that way, right? Memories will last forever.

I know that there are still some of your who are sad, and who can’t concentrate on your job or studies.

But that’s normal you know, when something you love goes away.

But personally I think differently. The things that you love, they can live on forever in your heart. Do you know what I mean? Even if it sounds really cheap when I put it into words, I feel that way.

I will remember to the day I die that you guys loved Awoi.

I won’t forget the fact that you lived even when I’m dead.

I don’t want to tell you that you can forget Awoi, but I want you to remember the fact that we lived and smile every now and then. “Those guys are really gone~” or something, LOL

Pictures before last live

Awoi Last Live @ Osaka Big Cat (Otogi Blog Translation)

So many.

So many people came to see Awoi’s finale.

At Big Cat, one of Osaka’s most famous concert halls.

Awoi’s fans filled that huge hall right up.

And also, so big it couldn’t be contained in that hall was the amazing amount of love I felt towards Awoi from you.

As well as all the fans, there were plenty of VIPs, friends from other bands, hall staff and crew and even our families. That so many people would come together just to see our band, I am happy, so happy I can’t contain myself.

On the other hand, I think there were a lot of people who couldn’t come to see us there yesterday.

I really wanted to perform my last live in front of ALL of Awoi’s fans, even if that isn’t very realistic.

Of course I knew that wouldn’t be possible, but it was still a bit regrettable for me. Therefore, I strained my ears to hear all of your voices.

And I could faintly hear them - your voices from all throughout Japan and the whole world.

Even if people think I’m an idiot for saying this,

I heard you all before I went out on stage.

Unmistakably, I heard all of your voices.

And those voices supported me.

Thanks to each of those voices, I could finish singing as Awoi’s vocalist, I think.

Anew, I felt the reality of the fact that Awoi’s fans’ feelings are what powered us and made our band possible.

With the end of yesterday’s amazing concert,

Awoi is disbanding, and I will no longer sing Awoi’s songs on stage. But Awoi’s songs will not die.

Music that is loved by so many people cannot disappear that easily.

At yesterday’s show, my mind was put at ease.

If it’s those guys, I can entrust Awoi to them.

Because all of those guys will love Awoi’s music forever too.

Therefore I was really, really saved by that.

Perhaps because of that, yesterday I was overcome with such feelings of security and happiness that I was unable to cry.

Instead, I surprised even myself with how much I smiled.

That was my answer to Awoi.

Awoi’s music is music for living.

No matter how much you cry, tomorrow you’ll be able to smile music.

No many how much sadness, suffering and pain or anything comes, it’s music that will give you power to live. I will always be there, inside of that music.

So why don’t you try putting the CD on and pressing play?

Because the voice you hear will be unmistakably mine.

Don’t worry, it’ll be okay.

I’ll always be by your side.

Until death do us part.

So don’t you forget how you felt for Awoi.

Awoi’s songs are songs that won’t disappear.

So let us live together forever.
