In college Merton carries around a black leather dad wallet with one of those insertable plastic photo sleeves that fold out and fit a bunch of pictures front to back in it.

Mostly pictures of Becky. Most of them with her as a child. One of her and him together, probably one of the only ones of them that exist together and smiling - he had blonde hair and a pink toy phone back then. One of her current school photos because he insists she send him one every year.

Also his prom picture with Tommy and Lori because Merton definitely also had a copy of that one. One of Lori and him at Christmas exchanging gifts that Tommy took. Tommy’s football picture. One of Tommy shirtless wedged behind another so no one will find it...

So I’ll give Merton some credit in being crafty but this is something I assume he brought which makes me question what he told people and just how he got away with owning it. 😛

Merton’s parents clearly never go in his room and seem to ignore his existence for the most part which is depressing but has one benefit. Becky would write it off as something else weird and creepy Merton owns and the kink aspect wouldn’t occur to her at all.

As for where he got it and what they’d say to him, I’d assume he bought it online and had it shipped to the house so there was no one to ask questions about it.

That or someone in Pleasantville already owned it and sold it to Merton, since it’s basically a neo-Puritanical town what with everyone knowing the town priest by name, hosting torch mobs, having book burnings, and beating up people who are different. Merton just found a better use for the torture rack than in some judgemental creep’s basement is all 👀

What is your absolute favorite thing about each guy and what would you say are each of their top 3 values?

Bro idk what to say honestly. I love how Merton is this goth intellectual goof who is quite honestly unapologetically himself in this bland small town and even though Tommy was this jock dude bro, becoming a werewolf and becoming friends with Merton helps him to truly grow as a person. They’re both loyal and work towards protecting their town together, they’re just wholesome and lovable what more can I say?

Fave thing about each : How Merton has maintained his personality and individuality in this small town

How Tommy becomes a werewolf and yeah he hates it at first and wants to find a cure but eventually does use his unlikely gift for the greater good

Top three values ? I don’t know about this one really, they’re loyal, protective and all around good guys
