I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I just have to get this off my chest. I FUCKING HATE CAVENDISH. for multiple reasons, those being:
In the episode where they meet Doofenshmirtz, and they rely on him to make a time-travel device, Doof, understandably, fucks up a couple times, and any other person would have just brushed this off as another bump in the road. BUT NOT CAVENDISH. No, this mf immediately starts talking down to him, FIRST OF ALL, that is you idol, who tf is you talking to?? And then, he somehow gets up the balls to call him A DISAPPOINTMENT. What right do you have to be calling ANYONE a disappointment, but ESPECIALLY HIM, especially after all the bullshit his parents fed to him as a kid. What fucking right do you have??? (Not to mention, Doof is also my favorite character)
My next reason for hating him is that later on in season 2, (I don't remember the exact reason, but) he fucking ABANDONS Dakota, and doesn't tell him shit about where he's going, causing Dakota to worry and start looking for him. Like, who just abandons their boyfriend like that??? (You can't tell me their not gay for each other. I may hate Cavendish, but I love the ship between him and Dakota)
Moral of the story: I hate Cavendish, and I always will.

Im gonna put this real bluntly. You don’t understand Cavendish.
Cavendish is a man with a MASSIVE hero complex it's one of his defining traits as a character. He also has a very complex relationship with failure.
What happens when the hero of a man with a hero complex who is a fundamental faiure but refuses to acknowledge it, fails?
He projects. Hard. That's all I'm going to say about that one.
Second point, Cav asked Dakota so, so many times to help him, begged him to believe him, and was basically gaslit and dismissed for it. This episode in particular places a VERY strong emphasis oh Cav's hero complex: he saw someone in danger and felt an overpowering need to help them. That you don't even remember the VERY IMPORTANT REASON (literally saving Milos life!) that Cavendish "ran away for" is wild. Cavendish did not just up and "abandon" Dakota, he saw someone in danger and everyone else, Dakota included, refused to believe him, nevermind help him.
Next time, rewatch the show and actually get the facts before you demonize a character. You can dislike him all you want, but its bad faith to throw a character under the bus when you dont even have or provide the full perspective on their actions.
Also, a warning. This is a VERY small VERY rabid fandom and you will quickly learn that there is absolutely no place for this kind of toxic take within it. Disliking characters is fine, your attitude about it is not. It's people like you that sour otherwise good fandoms.

- is really into marvel movies (idk she just seems like that type of person)

I don't have brown eyes (any more) but I think they're so beautiful and I've had too many people I love tell me they hate their brown eyes.
back on my bullshit um FACE HOLDING?? the inherent gentleness of holding someone else’s face… cupping their cheeks in your palms and letting them warm… anyway sokka and zuko do it a lot and sokka does this think where he’ll hold zuko’s face and make the softest expression at him and smile and it makes zuko all bubbly and warm inside :)
and platonic or familial face holding!! katara would grab sokka’s face and reassure him that things are gonna be alright and smile and sokka would offer the same gesture when the stress gets to katara and she’s struggling with the responsibilities she holds now because sokka is always there for his baby sister
Okay I know this post is an ATLA post but like...when I think of face holding these days I always end up thinking of Cavendish GRABBING Dakota's face. Like...it's one thing to gently cup someones face in your hands, but its entirely another to grab them by the face and (rather aggressively) SHAKE them!
