Watching Chrissy videos today and feeling emo about it.
Chrissy Amphlett: One of history’s mega-babes
We all run after a dream in life Our heart is a lamb in a sacrifice Did you ever expect such a struggle and strife? See how she runs

I cried when I saw this song live.

"She never had any affection so she relates well to rejection."
Yesterday (October 25th) would’ve been Chrissy Amphlett's 54th birthday. I missed making a post because I was so tired from the week. Chrissy is my favourite woman in rock right after Marianne Faithfull who I constantly talk about. What they have in common is that both are completely underrated and hardly get the credit they deserve.
Sure everybody knows Hole, Garbage or The Slits but Chrissy Amphlett/Divinyls is hardly mentioned along with inspiring female-fronted bands even though she essentially invented the genre. If you have never listened to Divinyls I invite you to open Spotify or try and find one of their albums online and listen to it.
I still can’t believe that Chrissy is gone because she had been working on solo material again and I would’ve loved to see her perform. For those of you who are already fans here’s Chrissy’s last performance in a night club in New York City. RIP. ♥
Happy Birthday Chrissy <3
