I have a fantroll that I just made recently, and I was wondering if it would be alright if she were to have like flashbacks from traumatizing experiences her ancestor had?

If her psychic powers were really powerful then yes, maybe?

is it reasonable for a brownblood to be emotionally unstable, like a highblood?

Anyone can be emotionally unstable. Highbloods are just genetically unstable.

is it really necessary for a troll to share the same lusus with his dancestor?

The necessity of similarities between dancestors is very vague, but I'd say yes.

So, I have a low-end violetblood, but he's kind of a calm character for the most part. He's emotionally unstable at times, but the highblood rage is less of a rage and more of a scared/sad. And no, it isn't overplayed, it's not a constant. He is prone to emotional breakdown, though. Is this okay?

Sounds good to me.

The thing that's coming to mind is that his emotional instability may stem from the suppression of his natural highblood rage. Maybe not even consciously. Because of this, he may lash out and be prone to occasional emotional breakdowns?

i think only two "royal" tyrians can exist at a time, the more obviously fuschia ones get culled by the jade-bloods that nurture the mother grub, the less obvious ones get lucky and then, if they're smart enough, claim themselves as fuschia.

So about the male tyrian blood thing, yes there can be male tyrians, but i've always believed that there can be unlimited numbers of tyrians and only females can be heirs.

I'm pretty sure there can only be two in existence at a time? I dunno, that's what I thought to be truth.

Okay, so my biggest concern is that her horns are too different? but aside from that, I’d love some help on figuring out what other theme related things I could do with her.

I think the horns are a little too differen, actually. I like the idea, but maybe tweak it a bit? Maybe have them shaped like more cartoonish rabbit ears, i.e. thinner?, and change the coloring to the normal stripes. Maybe angel them more upwards inside of out to the side, but keep their position on the head? I dunno just what's up with htem, but I'll admit they look a tad off. Love the concept though, and she's a real cutie! ovo Her name is Scalet O’Hara, and her lusus is a Hare. (Ive yet to decide on his mutation so I can have him not just be like an earth animal. Three ears, maybe?)) She enjoys Gardening, and using C^r^ts in her words. Do you think yuou could think of anything else she could have as her theme, or?

Maybe her lusus could have like three ears and one eye? I can't think of anything too interesting with themes with the little information given, but I do love the rabbit thing! Look into dream interpretation sites or other such symbolism stashes, and find out what rabbits mean as a symbol, and try applying that to ehr character! I love it joke on c^rrots though.

Hello! I'm trying to decide on a theme to base my newest little test subject off of, and I was considering basing her off those reaaaaaally shitty and overly cliche'd cop shows, but I was wondering if that would hit too close to Terezi?

Some people would say yes, I'd actually say no. Cliche'd cop shows take more from old Private Eye stuff, reused tropes but with a fresh coat of paint, whereas Terezi is a, quote unquote, "LEGISLACERATOR" not a detective. Her place is in the courtroom, and the bad cop show comes before the court drama. Go wild.

In my story I have a male fuchsia blood, but he was kicked out and forced into hiding because a female heiress was supposed to inherit the throne.

There can only be two fuchsia bloods at a time. The current heir and the current ruler.

Erm, well, I was wondering if a male Tyrian blood would be possible as a fantroll without breaking canon laws, assuming that the story occured before The Condense went into power and was completely unrelated to Sburb/Sgurb. Thanks :D

Aroaur Reskre

Troll’s Name - Aroaur Reskre

Trolls are named by the sound their lusus makes when they meet it, right? I’d imagine a viperfish to make a hissyscratchy sound, so I based it off of that.

Not many people remember that lil' tidbit when ti comes to fantrolls, I really love when I see it! I think the name fits to that perfectly!

Blood Color - Violet caste, but it’s noticeably more desaturated.

Lusus - Viperfish- He’s very kind and loves Aroaur a lot, but isn’t around often.

Appearance- Aroaur has a blindfold over her eyes to block out most light, since her eyes are very sensitive due to living so deep in the ocean. She has a sharp, angular body and is very tall. Her hands and feet are webbed and clawed, a small mutation developed to help living so deep underwater. She has long, rather wavy hair, down to her waist and colored very dark grey but not the normal black. Her skin is lighter than most trolls, almost white, due to her pitch black habitat. Her nose is rather flattened and not very attractive, and her lips are small and chapped. She has small, bioluminescent freckles lightly dusting her cheeks, shoulders, elbows and ankles, which don’t do much except for attracting small, tasty fish. Aroaur usually wears a simple one piece black swimsuit with her symbol in violet on her chest and two smaller ones in white surrounding her hips. She is barefoot constantly since her feet are webbed and it helps her swim. Her horns are bent forward and down, reaching her jawline before curving again to frame the sides of her face. They are extremely shiny, unlike most horns, and paler yellow, due to lack of exposure to light of any kind.

She sounds really cute! I love the obvious attention to detail here, you noting things about how her appearance differs from other due to her pitch black habitat. It's so rare to see that! I love it! She actually seems built for survival, with her webbed hands and feet and her bioluminescence. I also like the blindfold! It's not only cute, but also falls into the "built for survival" category and I like it a lot!

Personality - Aroaur is very kind, and cheerful. She loves to help anybody out and knows what it’s like to be lonely, having grown up in the bottom of the sea. She doesn’t care much about the hemocaste since she hardly knows about it, having been alone most of her life. She’s annoyed very easily by sad, melodramatic people, becoming snappy and . She usually relates to other people’s feelings in some way and comforts them exactly how they need it. However, this leads to many false pale overtures and has, oddly enough, lost her many friends due to false intentions. This led to her claiming pale celibacy so trolls know she’s not pale for anybody, but has damaged her greatly since she doesn’t have anybody to turn to when she’s not feeling well. Aroaur has a kind of determination that lets her do whatever she wants without any doubts, and this intimidates her enemies and encourages her friends. However, since she doesn’t think things through, she might tend to be reckless on occasion and take large chances. This can also be a boon, though, since her friends would have no reason to think they might fail and helping them greatly. Her courage is also feared by her enemies, since a brave person is more dangerous than a coward.

Everything looks good here too! What a cutie. ovo I really like that her friendliness causes the accidental pale implications, I've ever see that in a fantroll before, it's really cool! :O

Interests - Aroaur likes to collect things that feel, sound, taste or smell nice such as scales from fish or the lightbulb of an anglerlusus, as well as rubber bands, glass shards, and bits of metal and cloth. Since she lives at the bottom of a ravine, a lot of stuff is dropped in that the owners don’t bother to pick up, hence her little dragon’s-hoard of found objects.

She enjoys showing the few visitors she has her collection and usually lets them take whatever they like home, if they find something to their interest to trade with something of her interest. However, she doesn’t get many visitors. Not even the seadwellers dwell so deep that light is totally irrelevant and nonexistent.

That's so neat! I do have the question of how she shows people her collection if light is nonexistent and irrelevant though?

Modus - Sound Modus- every time she captchalouges something she assigns a specific sound to it and must repeat that sound to uncaptchalouge it.

What's this based on? Is it just random? It's kinda cool, and cute to think of her trying to figure out a sound that she hasn't already used yet.

Strife Specibus - Dustkind- sand and ground teeth and plants into a dust that kills you if you breathe it or get it in your eyes. Also has tons of junk specibi from scavenging and makes it a point to use a random one every time she Strifes, so as to add some fun.

Typing Quirk - She starts and ends her messages with double curly brackets, and when she’s excited she sometimes replaces O’s with the infinity symbol. Aroaur also replaces L’s and I’s with |. Her smilies are made with blindfolds to reflect her appearance, although it can be confusing. []-)

Cute!!! Love the blindfold. It's so creative!! :D

Hive- Underground bunker. It’s at the bottom of an underwater ravine, where none but fools go. She built it there because it was her lusus’ natural habitat. It is completely devoid of water, and has many rooms, most of which are cluttered with various odds and ends she collects. She doesn’t have a bed like most highbloods, simply a large basin of freshwater she sleeps in, with a built-in water purifier so the water stays fresh. She likes it because sometimes the salt collects in her gills and it annoys her to no end. Her husktop has one additional feature: a monitor brightness decreaser.

Land- Land of Ocean and Misery- a dark land filled with water. At the bottom are several ruins with tablets and runes. There are several puzzles and mysteries, and no enemies. The only way to earn grist and echelevels are to solve these puzzles, which are made to resemble a giant breadcrumb-style thing which, when all of them are complete, then unlocks the way to the quest bed.

The consorts in this land are small, colorful versions of deep-sea creatures, such as anglerfish and squid. Yes there are squiddles there.

All and all, I think this is an awesome fantroll! Good work! You've thought through a lot of details and she seems well-thought-out and well-rounded!
