September 11th ♥ タッキー&翼's Debut (2002)
Debut Album: Hatachi
滝沢秀明 (Takizawa Hideaki) – 1982.03.29
今井翼 (Imai Tsubasa) - 1981.10.17
Tackey and Tsubasa were the leaders of Johnny’s Jrs. during the 90s. Initially, both of them did not get along though they were partnered for dramas, concerts and photo-shoots. In 1999 they took charge of the first Johnny’s Jr. Concert and 2 years later, Tsubasa designed the costumes and Tackey designed the setting for the very successful tour “Takki and Tsubasa 21st-century Showdown with all Johnny’s Juniors”, and for the first time in JE history, two Johnnys were distinguished in the title of a Junior tour.
At the end of this tour, Johnny-san announced the two would debut as solo artists. They were planned to officially debut when they reached 20 years old, at this point Tackey and Tsubasa had a really good relationship with each other and wanted to debut together. During a year, fans launched a campaign sending postcards to the agency asking for them to debut as a duo.
Johnny-san kept the promotion as solo artists but on the date of their supposed debut, the two announced they would be debuting as a duo after all. To this day, they have few releases because they focus their activities in stage-plays (Tackey) and dancing (Tsubasa), and more importantly, working with juniors. Over the weekend they held two special concerts in Tokyo Dome with the support of their kouhais and fans. Their anniversary album “TEN” comes out today and they’ll be going on tour starting tomorrow.
Happy 10th Anniversary! 幸せな10周年記念!
So adorable! Well done!
