From The Other 98% on Facebook:
Jack White, Eminem, Steve Buscemi, and Jeff Daniels just helped Stephen Colbert flip Donald Trump the bird on public access TV, barely a day after the President bragged about getting him canceled.
Here's the timeline, because it's beautiful.
Thursday night, the Late Show ended for good after Trump successfully pressured Paramount's billionaire owners into pulling the plug. The President took his victory lap immediately, posting AI-generated memes of himself tossing Colbert into the trash.
The man who claims to be a free speech warrior celebrating the silencing of a comedian who mocked him.
The party lasted about 23 hours.
Because the very next night, Colbert popped right back up, not on a network, but on Monroe County public access television, with surprise appearances from Jack White, Eminem, Steve Buscemi, and Jeff Daniels. All that talent showing up on community-access cable just to make a point.
"It's been an excruciating 23 hours without being on TV," Colbert deadpanned from the studio, before adding that he was grateful to be on Monroe Community Media "before they also get acquired by Paramount."
That's the whole thing in a nutshell. You can buy the network. You can lean on the billionaires. You can post your little cartoon. But you cannot actually make someone shut up if they refuse to.
This is the part authoritarians never understand. Censorship doesn't kill a voice, it amplifies it. Trump didn't make Colbert disappear. He turned a late-night host into a free-speech folk hero and handed him a story bigger than any monologue.
Now everyone's talking about the comedian the President tried to erase, and the President looks small and thin-skinned doing it.
Colbert's next move, whatever it is, is coming. And it's going to live rent-free in Trump's head the entire time.

That is how you sing this song correctly.
