I made some fan art for the super swell folks that voiced my favorite crime duo Eric Stuart and Rachael Lillis. :3 It was a real treat to have time to chat at their signing tables. They were so nice! Plus Eric liked how I drew James (particularly his nose).. and that just made me so.. SO happy. ^^

i fell in love with these characters because of how complex they where underneath the Comedic Incompetent Villain archetype.

Jessie deals with intimacy issues due to having her heart broken many times, had her mom die when she was a young child, failed at everything she has ever tried to do, but puts on this confident facade to hide her issues.

James was rich but his parents didn’t care about what he himself wanted and forced him to get engaged to a girl who abused him and traumatized him to the point where he’s terrified of the thought of marriage.

Meowth was abandoned as a newborn and wanted desperately to find his place in the world. He found a female Meowth who loved humans so he tried to become as human as he could but this backfired when she called him a freak. Yet again he didn’t fit anywhere and just wants to feel accepted and loved by someone.

this is all in the anime and not just headcanon and i want the writers to remember all this again
