Any luck with preventing decks from becoming bowed? I've been through two different card clips (one a Porper) and my decks I carry around with me still bow from time to time. Any tips? Ideas?

Unfortunately every deck is doomed once the seal is opened...Moisture, skin oil, hell even the air is a menace.You can't really keep a deck in tip top shape for too long, clips might help a little, powder can help even more and, of course, clean hands are just ways to help your deck have a longer life.We are constantly in the learning process, so the con is that you either have to deal with overused decks, or just waste a lot of money buying bricks every so often.

Did you notice a difference in deck quality from when the USPCC moved from Ohio to Kentucky? I've used decks from both, but I was just starting when they were in Ohio so I might not have known what to look for. But from what I remember I can't really tell a difference between Ohio decks and Kentucky decks. I've seen a number of people complain, but I don't see the difference. What do you think?

I can't really tell a difference...Almost every other new deck always seems good, but not "first couple of fresh decks" good...I mean I feel like new decks are of lesser quality, but I can't really tell because I assume I'm just used to their feel and my judgement became more strict.I have yet to open both and see how both feel fresh out of their boxes...But then again, people used to amaze with a deck that felt like sandpaper...Of course I like smooth cards, but I wouldn't bitch too much about my deck not being as good as it used too...I'd bitch about my hands not being able to do their thing in a difficult situation.Companies made us pussies.We have to admit that...

Not really a bad thing, but of course being creative with what you say is always way better....Magic is mostly acting, that's why it's called the art of deception.The truth is though that even by saying simple things like what you point, or even nothing, you still can surprise anyone depending on HOW you express, not WHAT.

How do you feel about the boxes card come in getting more attention? Part of me thinks it's kind of silly, but the Monarch's box is pretty sweet.

It's all about marketing my friend, good marketing in this case.

See I'd much rather buy a deck with a nice box and the same price as any custom deck, than buy a "limited run" crap that will, most likely, get reprinted as a "2nd version".

Making a deck and it's box a piece of art is good for both customer and developer.

Monarchs deck by theory 11.

These cards have a premium 909 air cushion finish, which promises that the deck is the perfect tool for any cardist.

Elegant design,the back is beautiful, the faces are standard, the t11 typical with darker red, darker colors in general.

The box is embossed decorated nicely in dark blue and gold accents.

Only thing bugging me (besides the name) is that they claim it is printed using imported paper....

I don't know about you, but I am getting sick of all these black, white, and grey backed decks. It seems like every special deck is exactly the same colour! They are all come out looking like a grey blob. The more come out, the more I love the Propaganda deck, because it at least is a shade of green.

Well, I guess this is a matter of taste, but I have to point out two things:

1.

The number of decks that exists is unimaginable and, really, there are far more colors than just the ones you mentioned.And I'm not even talking about different face colors, just the backs...There is plenty of color my friend, expand your research and you'll see it.

2.

Personally I prefer classic looking playing cards with a twist.I'd choose a tally-ho viper over an arcane or a propaganda deck any time, when it comes to custom decks.

But really there are tons of different decks and their color is just a detail in comparison with the differences they have with eachother.

And it indeed is a secret well kept, only images I found so far were depicting the box, the back, the jokers and the ace of spades... (you do see the irony here, right?)

Anyway, coming soon, of course, in limited supply, cause being a hipster is in style this year...

I'll be the first to say that I'll never buy a deck that is the sad resut of a company that is trying to capture a consumed-consumers attention.
