Whenever Sam calls out ‘James’, both Bucky and Rhodey responding with a ‘yeah’ before Sam clarifies which one he was calling (he probably finds it funny and cute so does it on purpose)

Them going on runs in the mornings (if this is a situation where Rhodey had the fall and got the prosthetic enhancements), Sam and Bucky keeping pace with him, encouraging him on, gradually working their way from a light jog to a sprint to a full on run, and giving him lots of cheek kisses as they assist him on their way back home

Helping each other with making breakfast in the morning, Rhodey is flipping pancakes, Sam is scrambling eggs, Bucky put some bacon in the oven and is setting the table

There was probably one time that grits were made, but the Sugar v. Salt Discourse™ popped up between Sam and Rhodey and they all agreed it would be best to stay away from grits.

They probably had a couple conversations about their experiences while serving, recounting some of their most amusing stories from a mission.

Them taking nights to sit cuddled together on the couch, watching films, Bucky probably the first one to sleep with his head on Rhodey’s chest, while Rhodey is steady nodding off leaning against Sam, and Sam’s kissing the top of his head, looking at his men with all the love in the world

Because he doesn’t understand me, he doesn’t listen to me. Every time I try to open up and express to him what I’m feeling, he shuts down and he shuts me down. Stan: See the Winter Soldier is a very good listener, because he usually doesn’t have the words to respond with. Mackie: I want so much from him but he’s not a giver. Not a sharer.

I mean thats what always gets me about Sam is that he was a fucking superhero way before the Avengers and Cap caught up to him, like he had the training, he had the gear, he had the compassion and the will to work as hard as he fucking could just for the opportunity to help when others couldn’t. Think of all the lives he was saving, first as a pararescue and then as a VA counselor, before he helped saved the lives of millions from Hydra. He was already a fucking superhero, the only difference now is the Avenger title.

A prompt u could draw- Bucky asks Sam for a candy bar so Sam licks it so he can't have it, but Bucky just eats in anyway. Sam's like ew & Bucky's just like Sam I had my tongue in ur mouth like 5 mins ago & Sam's like no idea what ur talking about :)
