It was announced earlier this week Mike will be leaving State Radio after 7 and 1/2 years...this breaks my heart, but I wish him the best of luck.
Thanks for being one kick-ass drummer, Mad Dog. And a really cool guy as well...

SONG of the DAY: “Freckled Mary” by State Radio. Thunderous freight train of rock ‘n roll realism in the Boston-based trio’s latest album. Origin: Boston. Genre: Alternative Rock
Love State Radio!
State Radio at the Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland, Ohio. November 8, 2012.
The tour is in action, let's get those photos submitted! I took this one last night in Cleveland, Ohio.
The show was awesome, one of my favorite sets ever. Full of energy, and just over-all amazing, as always.
And who so highest burn the brightest.
“The law locks up the hapless felon who steals the goose from off the common, but lets the greater felon loose who steals the common from the goose.” Big Man - State Radio
I finally got Chad Stokes of State Radio to write “Let It Go” on my arm after the show on Thursday. Got it tattooed Saturday up in PA while visiting my friend Morgan. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Chad Stokes is my idol and the biggest reason I continue to play music to this day. After beating cancer two years ago, this phrase became my mantra. Life is all about letting go of all that pent up negative energy. The song is great, the album is great, but really, what “Let It Go” means to me is FUCK CANCER.

Sybil I - State Radio cover by Polter-Ghost
I was recently recording some songs up on top of a mountain in a big abandoned house with one of my friends. So, just to test how everything would sound, I thought I'd start everything off with a little Sybil I. One of my favorite songs in the world and one of the best State Radio songs ever written. I'm not sure I can embed it, but here's the link if you'd like to check it out! Syibl I - State Radio cover by Polter-Ghost
Whoa. I don't know if anyone's into a capella, and this obviously doesn't compare to SR/Dispatch's version, but it's pretty cool. They mashed The General in there a bit too.
How awesome is this song?
