Hi, I really want to get in to Tom Robbins, which of his novels would you recommend reading first?
When recommending Tom to my friends, the feedback I normally get is that it takes awhile to get used to reading his style of writing. I usually recommend Still Life With Woodpecker or Jitterbug Perfume, but a lot of his books have similar themes so I would also say to just pick up whichever one sounds most interesting to you. Enjoy!

My family moved to Flowery Branch, GA from CA when I was a kid and in the public library one during fifth grade day my G-ma came across a copy of "Another Roadside Attraction" and said "I would have thought this book were illegal here!" So obviously I had to check it out! Changed me for life, I aspire to be Amanda Ziller in all things. Also, decidedly masterbated a lot more!
Author Tom Robbins reads from "B is for Beer" — his "children's book abut beer" — appropriately at Boundary Bay Brewery in Bellingham, Washington on May 5, 2009. I get to interview Robbins and field audience questions at minute 15 — a peak life experience for sure!

Got my Jitterbug Perfume tattoo today! And FUCKING LOVE IT. It’s based on the cover art that was done by Les Le Pere It just encompasses so many things I love. Pan: check. Tom Robbins: check. Faeries: check. Beets: check? (I do love borscht…) Teeny, tiny, dot work: DOUBLE CHECK. Also, some other artists at the shop were really enthusiastic about the piece I traded for the work. Which makes my little heart ‘splode! Because I love and respect them and their work, like, lots! WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! BRING IT ON 2013!!!
