Happy First Year Anniversary

I have been reliably informed that it has been one Earth year since I began this  heartfelt tribute to His Majesty’s magnificence! It warms my heart how many people have and continue to open their hearts to our Maou, and I hope to continue sharing his charms for many more years to come along with… (sigh) other persons who are similarly passionate.

As part of my gratitude, here we see His Majesty dirty and disheveled, but never discouraged and always determined! It is a stunningly good look for him, I think you’ll agree, dear readers.

Our Maou, Loving Father

Besides being the metaphorical spiritual father of our nation, His Majesty is also, as I believe I may have mentioned before, the foster father to a young human girl, Greta, whom he dotes upon. Here we see them in a tender moment before bedtime, perhaps before His Majesty begins a story, or after reassuring her there will be no monsters in the bathroom.

I regret to say that the finer points of our Maou’s favorite pastime continue to elude me, but many seem to enjoy it well enough, and there’s certainly no harm in it. No particular purpose either, really, but in peacetime one is able to put more energy into elaborate rules and strange ceremonies, and so the growing popularity of Base Ball signals a positive turn for our country, I believe.

Our Maou, In Good Spirits

Let it never be said that His Majesty is too dedicated to the serious business of running his country to enjoy a good laugh, even occasionally at himself. All of us who are fortunate enough to assist him in his duties have often bathed in the warmth of his smile, the tenderness of his sincere affection. There can be no greater happiness in this world!

Rest assured I am absolutely filled with shame that I did not manage a fitting tribute on His Majesty’s actual birthday. I was of course, present for his celebration, but it was utterly selfish of me not to share his joy with all of you, and I deeply deeply--
