He thinks about Brian in his London flat, full of beautiful things, a home for a beautiful soul. Thinks about him taking more and more, the drugs numbing the pain of loneliness, like Paul had done last year when John was gone.

He knows how easy it would have been to just stop caring about your own life. Especially if you thought no one would ever truly love you. To just take more and more, to roll the dice. To passively greet Death at your door. This time not the man who loved you come to save you. Rather a dark force that you’d run from your whole life.

There must have been some relief in not being chased anymore.

"bathe in the light of her gaze" from alicent, a woman who has been raised since childhood to live "in the light of the Seven." to define herself by that light. subconsciously the echo there is potent. And then there's her taking her Seven star off. like. it's about being a religious dyke who hates herself but craves the deep devotion of faith because it's the most intense passion she's been allowed to know so when she thinks of the woman she loves it's a bit like loving god.
