There’s no way this spot could ever have run, but to their credit, the team didn’t try to hide the fact that it was spec.
Although the spot is wonderfully executed, the idea is silly and juvenile, and it has nothing at all to do with Lux.
If you plan to invest the time and energy needed to pull off a spec ad, you should hold yourself to the higher standard of saying something that’s actually relevant to the brand. Otherwise, people might question whether you have the judgement and discipline needed for success on big global assignments.

Bus backs. An art director's worst enemy.
Whoever declared bus backs as an advertising media is both a genius and an asshole. If the initial idea isn't killed by the client- you can always rely on a bus back to slaughter it for you.
Ok. The guy is just an asshole. There is no genius in bus backs.
