Hey lovely ladies and gentlemen. Originally I had made this blog to show my journey. I will do that from time to time. However, from now on I will post/re-blog other naturals and other people who are transitioning or did the BC (big chop) or any natural hair related hairstyles. Along with re-blogging other women who has kinky hair close to mine along with posting tips from time to time to help other fellow ladies who are struggling with their 4c hair. I opened the submissions so people can send in pictures of their hair or protective hairstyles/hairstyles to showcase. I also added another section in this side bar where I will do some product reviews on hair products I have tried and giving an update on using the products. As the myth goes "Black women hair never grows" <-- pure rubbish lies that's why I am here to prove them all wrong !

Even though I had like how thick As I am is. It didnโt deliver on my hair feeling soft after the treatment. Where as Design essentials the change was immediate. Through using my unbrush flex to detangle was a breeze.
These two products were recommended for low porosity hair type. Lead me with different results. With hair care itโs all about trail and error just to see which one works with your hair. Just because it might be low porosity friendly doesnโt mean your hair will play nice and like it. At the end of the day you have to go with how your hair feels after.
My flat iron is getting an upgradeโฆI was looking into giving my hair that salon treatment at home. I had the Jilbere de Paris nano silver ceramic for over 10 years. I been eyeing the FHI flat iron models for a while. I finally went ahead and got it.
Now for that silk press/flat iron treatment routine
Based on my findings the internet girlies have said having a clarifying shampoo followed by a moisturizing shampoo then deep conditioning, detangle with said conditioner, then apply a leave in conditioner will help aid with lovely results. Thatโs how you complete your wash day routine.
Then when it came to blow drying and flat ironing your hair, you got to use a heat protectant. Heat protectant spray (for blow drying) or serum (for flat ironing hair)
I believe in the past I did a porosity test and just never posted the results. The hair porosity test consist of using clean hair(wash day) and getting room temperature water in a cup and seeing if it floats to bottom or not. Hereโs my results from my first wash day of the year 2026. This 4c hair of mine is low porosity. That means my hair takes longer to dry (shocker not surprising) and that moisture has difficulties being penetrating through hair shaft.
From research they suggest itโs easier to LCO method to do my hair. Iโll have to test this out along along with other methods.
Bobby pin your graduation caps to your hair with at least one pin on each side. Of course, use as many as necessary especially if you're in a humid climate where shrinkage might shift the hat over time.
For best results, have your hair in a down style so the cap can sit on top and the pins won't hurt as much โบ๏ธ
