transferred bsky thread. op is @/enkidudu here:
and this is my copy+pasted answer from this post:
i talked to someone before about this. and true true!!
fudou would be popular because does he not only look good, analytical, and have a good eye, but he likes stirring people up with what he says. and that keeps excitement while watching pretty high.
fubuki is less analytical but is also popular because he's playful and loves teasing. he also loves laughing charmingly which the fans really love.
someoka would gain a reputation of being a strict commentator so people are divided about it at first but a lot of people appreciate and agree with his observations. i think he's the type to ease on it overtime and be beloved on the long run. he would enjoy this enough to keep on doing this.
kidou is pretty popular bcs they love hearing him talk but his proud heir-like air kind of pissed people sometimes compared to fudou's more grounded tone. so he gets invited a ton also for the air stirring that that brings.
the world is completely divided with tsunami because he speaks in tongues like what the hell is he even talking about. what does the ocean have to do with this. he has invented metaphors never even heard of. ideally, only invite him if you have someone who can understand what he's saying and can carry the overall vibes.
kabeyama will also be loved, people can't get enough of his wit and energy and he's so supportive of almost every player. he has strong opinions on rough play. he thinks your hissatsu is pretty cool.
kazemaru is popular for this because he has a lot of fans in the first place. he's more strict than someoka but people ignore that more on account of their predisposed biases of being western-standards hot.
like someoka, endou also eases in this IF!! he was able to conquer his fear of interviews. otherwise, he wouldn't even commentate.
gouenji would also be a fan favorite because he already has a lot of fans but i doubt he'd be doing this a lot. he kinds of lack personality in his commentation but ignored for being a fan favorite.
midorikawa would also be a fan favorite in the levels of fudou but since i think he didn't go pro and uninvolved in soccer now, he wouldn't get invited in the first place. but his yapping would get a lot of traction.
hiroto would be less chatty and interesting but beloved too but he moves around with the same reason as mido.
sakuma would be a big fan favorite because he's always so fine tune in commentation and always so calm. they love his energy and he talks about the players' histories too. also analyzing.
tachimukai, i dont think he'd enjoy this activity at all but the people love him anyway. he describes the hissatsus in tongues but he's so charming and his metaphors make sense compared to tsunamis.
toramaru would be a favorite commentator on the same league as fudou and sakuma and the people adore him. his analyses are popular, and they even invite him in like international matches.
