Birthday post time! I come with a new cosplay to share with the class
This time it's Soren from fire emblem path of radiance and radiant dawn.
This build took me 102 hours, over the span of 4 months. As always I wanted to share some fun snippets and details from this build.
For starters here's a close up of the emblems. I silk painted them and then coated it with some sheer green paint just to brighten them up a bit. I personally really love the darker black details that are only visible from closer up. I think they really add personality.
I also put a lot of work into the belts. These are also silk painted. When I was building this outfit these where the first pieces I made to try to get the hang of silk painting. Sadly I didn't let the blue sash dry long enough so the white wasn't as contrasting as I wanted.
The lining is also not very visible when I'm wearing this outfit, but I put a lot of work into it. I started off by dying the whole lining green, and then dye resisting the design before dying the outfit black. I really like how it turned out! The design is of dragons and gusts of wind.
Last but not least are the leather belts! I used vegtable tanned leather for these. I got a flower stamp that I thought looked like a scale and then individually stamped each scale in, one at a time. For the belt that hangs from the neck I did a 4 strand braid with some lace cut vegtan.
