some things about tri
with how much hate is in the tags here are my 2 cents:
hikari did have development in the movie, even if it was more subtle compared to meikoās. hikari is meant to be the light of the group, she always tries to be positive to cheer people so they donāt worry about her like what happened when she was too ill, of course we see that positivity start shattering at the start and completely be broken at the end. also hikari standing up to homeostasis was a nice development.
yes meiko did have character development, if you donāt think it takes courage to tell your friends to kill your partner cause you love it and donāt want to see it suffer anymore then get out but this is the fandom that went fromĀ āāthe 02 kids have no character development, bring the adventure gang backāā toĀ āāthis new character has no character development, bring the 02 kids backāā, even wallace didnāt get this much hate and he barely had any development.
the group isnāt asking about how the 02 kids are doing cause himekawa literally told them they keep track of every chosen children and they were doing fine, of course we know sheās lying but they donāt know that.
i donāt know how some find the plot confusing when itās just homeostasis trying to stop yggdrasil from ending humanity for digimon to be superior, meicoomon being part of the trigger for that to happen.
i say part of the trigger cause with this movie we find out meicoomon wasnāt the only one being used, yggdrasil and evil gennai also needed hikari to make ofanimon falldown mode so this new jogress evolution could be activated for the end of the world to start.
that development for yamato at the end was actually really nice cause remember that scene in adventure when they were making the graves for everyone they had lost and taichi wanted to keep going and yamato fought him cause of that? this is that exact same scene but reversed, both even said they could cry later after doing what needs to be done.
i donāt know where people are seeing taichi/meiko happen, does that mean i canāt worry about a friend without wanting to date them? if thatās so then mimi and sora have more chance of dating meiko considering they were worrying about her way before taichi.
also if youāre only into digimon for your ships to be canon then thatās kinda sad, none of the writers owns you anything.
