So now we know what went down at Mount Li… the fact they didn’t ask for help, because they didn’t want to back down from their protest against the new imperial power… but also the fact no one checked if people were doing ok up there…

I really feel for our FL, honestly most people would have gone much more nuts in her stead. I’m still not over her digging her own grave as well and waiting there to die (logically she should have been sick too), except it didn’t happen.

And now we can finally start Prince Li’s rebellion (I have zero sympathy for his character, may he die).

#the first jasmine #it would be even more heartbreaking if we knew the people of mount li #but not everyone can do what pursuit of jade did #and the only poj did it is because the story required its characters to stay #in the same location for a long time #here you would need a ton of flashbacks to achieve a similar result #but you would also have to sacrifice a lot of the show’s rhythm

Something the shows does really well is the passing of time. It’s been six months since the beginning, and that makes sense. I’m even sure the weather participates in making you feel it with some seasonal variations (we had some scorching hot days to indicate summer heatwave).
