Netherbird - The Grander Voyage out NOW via Black Lodge Records

Filled to the brim with their signature style of songwriting, which incorporates black, death and even doom metal, this record is a new monument of harsh yet melodic music craft. They keep true to their origins also lyric-wise as Nephente keeps weaving his dark and personal reflections upon the world into the songs. This album is a journey spanning seven songs, and you are now invited to join the descent into uncharted territories. 

Staying true to their roots in the 90’s Black and Death Metal underground, the band is branching out into the new soundscapes, such as Doom and even Post Metal influences. Authentic production creates increased sound clarity and the lack of triggering adds a lot of presence to the experience.

It's getting to the point where everyone expects an album from a Quebec, Canadian Extreme Metal band to be of the utmost quality and SPIRIT OF THE FOREST "A Void into the Fields of Silence" is yet another outstanding release from the Canadian Metal Capital of Quebec. SPIRIT OF THE FOREST eschew an icy and atmospheric modus operandi, and it is no exaggeration to say that "A Void into the Fields of Silence" borrows with the utmost respect from the likes of EMPEROR and DISSECTION, and mixing with it his own quality brand of semi-epic, ferociously ripping, and darkly melodic Black Metal madness. While routinely catchy, the riffs have enough muscle to steer the band away from the awful fate of coming off as a bunch of lightweights. Despite prominent traces of melody oozing into almost all of the riffs, this is still clearly Black Metal at its core. Available on limited CD and Digital formats.

The duo was having a lot of ideas that did not fit so well with their other projects. To execute those ideas with their music, the band was formed in early 2016 in Stockholm.

Thus Eufori was created, taking inspiration from bands like Lifelover, Shining, Hypothermia, Nocturnal Depression, Pig, Hank III and Vanhelga. The band utilizes a broad musical range, making sure that no song is like the other. Apart from the set of Depressive Suicidal Black Metal sounds, an educated listener may also hear subtle Post-Punk influences.

The band utilizes "happy" sounding riffs along with layers of depressive vocals to implement a musical counterpoint. The irony is also present in their band name "Eufori". The songs are catchy, and simple in its structure, while the lyrics are quite personal, and tend to go deep in to the exploration of negative thoughts and feelings.

The Devils Music is a collection songs originally written for the 2nd Devilment Album. Daniel J Finch has written around 27 songs for that album , but left the band in late 2014. The songs remade and untouched. Until in late 2015, Daniel rediscovered the songs and went about finishing the album. Recorded at his Holocaust Studios in Suffolk by producer D-Rock. Produced by Finch/Jensen & Fennell. Mixed and Mastered by Jordan Fennell at Scorpio Studios, Suffolk.
