ok I know i don’t post really ANYTHING but reibert on here but I know there’s some animal lovers out there and this place is near me and I can’t sit back, read this story and not do something. Please help me spread this like wildfire…
This actually happened to a friend of mine who has written out the story for me here:
This happened to me about 5 years ago. Adopted a cat that the shelter said was perfectly healthy in May when we adopted, and she died in September. The vet (same vet, Sunray Clinic, who are wonderful), diagnosed her with FIP in July. She would not eat, and we had to feed her extremely expensive specialty food. We refused to return her to the shelter where she would stay until she died. We made her as comfortable as possible until she passed, but the vet confirmed she had to have already been infected when we adopted. FIP is highly contagious, meaning it was likely that all other cats in the facility at the time were also infected. The shelter's compensation was a certificate for one free adoption of any kind. I gave it back, I didn't want to adopt another sick animal, it was so heartbreaking. I will never adopt from there again.

40+ year old men who seriously believe the young girls working at stores and restaurants are actually flirting with them just because the girls smile and are friendly are the most disgusting and terrifying things on this planet.
I really hope that when the xkit guy is finally looking for a programming job and someone asks him his qualifications, he can just point to tumblr and go “I’m the guy who fixes the million dollar website for free when the paid people fuck up.”
