you have already done that. three. fucking. times. you have had three. fucking. chances. to explore that character evolution already. you did it with shay in season one, you did it with gabby in season four, and you did it with sylvie in season six. i’m gonna turn this statement around and ask why do you want to write this fourth failed pregnancy at the expense of the character evolution that has to happen when someone gets pregnant? because it is there, BELIEVE ME. you had the chance to do something new and fresh and you completely fucked it up

if the writers didn’t already realize how badly they fucked up, they are about to get mowed down by a busload of reality

these are the total viewers from the first two episodes. in between one episode, they lost 550,000 viewers. HALF A MILLION VIEWERS in between two episodes and i checked. do you want to know the last time this happened? the last time this show lost that many viewers in between just two episodes? when matt casey left (-560k viewers). in fact, in some other circumstances where loss happened, they actually gained viewers in between episodes. i refuse to believe that there were other storylines that aided this because stellaride was the cliffhanger. everything else had already been nearly resolved and tied up with a nice little bow. THIS WAS IT. i’m the first to say “correlation does not equal causation” but oh boy this does not look good

She was clearly shaken by the doctor saying there was no baby in her belly, then she cried, apologized to Severide and said she should have waited a few more days to tell him. If that's not being 100%, I don't know what is.
