What's with the ask box?

The ask box has regained anon privileges on good behavior. They were previously turned off due to an increase in spam messages. Please feel free to drop a question or comment in there though! I promise I'm not scary. Just don't be an ass.

Can I tag you?

Normally yes, I’m totally fine with this. But due to recent spam activity I’ve turned this off for blogs I don’t follow :(. If you’d like me to see a post, feel free to drop the link in my ask box!

Can I post your art elsewhere?

NO FUCK NO. I post my art on platforms I KNOW are free from ai data scraping, so using it elsewhere is a big NO.

Do you take requests?

Not really, but I'll make a post if I ever do with the specifications.

Do you take commissions?

Yes! You can commission me through Artistree, which is a platform like VGen, but without the cut to the artist's profits! Heads up though, in order to fund the site, the customer will have an extra $2.50 automatically added to their order. If you can’t swing this for any reason, let me know.

Stance on Palestine/Sudan/Congo?

Free everyone everywhere. Resources will be reblogged on my sideblog, @rambles-and-shenanigans

What won't be tagged?

Anyway Ambrose already had an intro post BUT if you don't know who they are, Keiren Vitalis Ambrose is a vampire who works at a research institution for the supernatural. They're in Oakhurst to investigate the 200 year pattern, and have disguised themself as a minister in order to deter suspicion.

Introducing Captain Pich Pelage!

An unaffiliated rogue who lives on the beach, Pich doesn't care much for petty kingdom squabbles. Rather, he's much too preoccupied with finding their lost crew (they're lost, not him).

When he's not busy keeping a signal alive, you can find Pich hanging out in trees, scavenging beach scraps, or playing an instrument while watching the sea. If you play your cards well, they might just cut you a deal...

Secret Society trio designs from my dream season (team life?) that I drew last year.

Quick note! Originally Tango was on a version of this team, but I was struggling to get his aesthetic and look to fit in with the others, so I never finished his art.

Etho:

I did my best to take the base Kakashi skin and turn it into a fantasy winter vibe, but I only sort of succeeded since it ended up looking more apocalyptic winter instead. The three eyes is because when this was drawn, creaking Etho was floating around the fandom. Ironically, it ended up being BigB who became a creaking in Wild Life, but I still really like the design choice.

The goggles and hat came from the headband, and the cross body bag was originally going to be a tactical vest, but I realized the layers weren't working well and switched it. The trinkets and patches are for the different members of the team + Tango. Lastly, the leather apron is for protection during redstone/traps engineering.

Gem:

By far my favorite to design. Her look is based more in traditional fantasy and Nordic influence since a big part of the appeal to me of this team was embroidered winterwear. Gem was originally supposed to be wearing a dress/skirt, but similarly to Etho I was having issues with the layering. I also switched her to pants since in this season she'd be acting as matriarch and would be generally pretty active. Because of this, Gem also has some of the warmest clothes, including fur in her gloves and surrounding her hips/thighs. It's not visible here, but in a different sketch I also drew her with fur on her cloak.

Gem also has the most ornate outfit with lots of embroidery, cross stitch, and embellishments. I wanted each of the team members to have a headcover, but something about this headband style accessory called to me for Gem. Her vest has deer antlers with gold jewelry as a nod to her previous design. They're placed to match her ribs. Finally, the cross stitch on her pants depicts her in combat, a little gemini slay reference for funsies and intimidation.

Grian:

The simplest yet hardest design to make. Grian's skin is pretty plain and he doesn't switch it often for life series, leaving the design for this open to a lot of interpretation. I opted for upgrading his jumper into a cozier knit sweater with slight trim details. For outerwear he has a wool cloak with an arrow pin and gold trim. I very much gave up on the cloak trim, so just use your imagination. For his headcover I opted for a simple cowl to match his pants, which extends down his back to cover his wings.

While Grian doesn't have the traditional 3 hearts on his outfit like his teammates do, they are still there. Each leaf on his pants' embroidery is colored to match the different life amounts, as well as having small hearts inside them. Lastly, I opted for giving Grian his glasses because without them he looked a little bit too much like TommyInnit 😔
