Drunk and dangerous started following you
"Luckily for me I was alone. Can you imagine the amount of media hype that would ensue if someone found out I broke my neck and then walked away like it was nothing? I’d probably be in some lab right now." She said, shuddering at the mere thought of something like that. She’d rather jump into the ocean. "That’s what I was thinking too, you know? It had to have been something residual in my genetics that developed as I reached adulthood."
"How old am I? Well, technically, I’m twenty seven. It just makes things easier to make people believe I’m a teenager and all. Sometimes it’s nice to pretend I’m not a freak, you know?"
"Chh, yeah… that would have been bad… Actually, humm… I wonder if ya have any demon blood in ya… maybe that could account for it…. But maybe not." She shrugged. "But yeah, those are some really badass genetics… anythin’ else that comes along with it? Super strength or anythin’ like that?"
"Heh, we’re around the same age…. I’m 26. But sometimes I get mistaken for 18~" Like when she told people she was 18… only stupid four-eyes had to ruin her fun. "But yeah, I can definitely get that… I’m used to bein’ weird, I guess. Been that way my whole life, but I’m not sure how it’d be if everyone knew about my parentage…. Might complicate things a bit."
"I'm not too sure. Honestly I've been using the inheritance I got from my late grandfather to track down any leads I can find that can tell me more about where this ability came from. So far, I can't find anything at all." She sighed, shrugging. That coincided with the jobs she took on, hoping to find some kind of lead, but sadly they all ended up in failure or dead ends.
Just as she was about to speak, the phone in her pocket rang. She sighed, "Hold on." She said, answering it. Turning around, the brunette's tone turned from curious to annoyed very quickly, cursing under her breath. "Sneaky bastard...ugh." She said, hanging up the call and turning to Shura once more, "Seems like I didn't quite complete my last job. Wanna come with me?" She asked, opening the driver side door of her car, sliding in.
