On the train to the place I'm "from". I wrote a poem reflecting on my experience growing up and schooling.
I changed a lot in these years. The person I represent in the first few lines of the first stanza was entirely alien to the person I was by the start of the 3rd and too, now reflective in the last line. Though I suppose so are one's teenage years.
The poem is semi-linear, writing pad size effected how lines are so most run over two. So it should be understood as ABCD ABCD ABCD 4 lines signified by the rhymes.
I felt an alienation behind these times, being seperated from my family in experienced locations, finding myself more in the "Steeltown" than their experiences would be. I say I'm from there, they mostly do not.
Its bittersweet my visit, returning to my old school to enable my career in schooling. So much difficulty I experienced centered around Steeltown, comes back to support my move toward the best life. I plan to return to a local comfort, absent from my past 3 years.
