we all know and love sun & moon parallels for driftsey. drift, the sun. freckled nose, warm brown eyes, a soft yellow glow hugging her wherever she walks. tanned, tall, fierce. aj, the moon. dark hair and darker eyes the color of polished onyx, pale skin riddled with indents of scars and fresh bruises. sleepless, slowly drifting away, a survivor.

but have we considered the opposite? drift, the moon. aj, the sun.

because drift is never stagnant. she is constantly changing her opinions, thoughts, and personality to fit what those around her like. she is desperate to be perceived a certain way, and that certain way is most often a well-liked, cool individual. she hides the things shes scared of yet is willing to stand tall in the face of harm and cosmic debris for the sake of protecting others. the people she hangs out with rarely see more than one side of her, just like the moon's phases and how one side of her is always in shadow.

because aj is loud. she is someone you cannot ignore even if you wanted to, too aggressive and bright to be looked past. people cant help but be drawn towards her, to listen out for her, to hang onto every word she says. she is always there, even if no one wants to quite meet her eyes. people dont want to see beyond the mask, preferring to complain about how bright she is instead. she burns hot and fiery, pulling others in yet destroying anyone who comes too close. she is slowly ruining her body and mind, just like the sun crushing its core and taking everything in the solar system with it.

For all of my art that isn’t an animation, I draw on the website Magma and I use textured marker for literally everything, I cannot be bothered to look for brushes lol. Occasionally I will use the airbrush too but not too often :) If any of you would like to see my process lmk!! <3
