Starbursts taste how crayons SHOULD taste
Just got my license and it’s led to some discoveries….
The most devastating being the discovery that I am, in fact, a Top 40 hits type of person.
Damn these Siblings or Dating games are getting harder
happy stimming
This is one of my favorite comics of all time.
Autistic stimming needs this, more representation of stimming a positive, pure, happy thing.
and adhd as well! but yes, stimming needs to be understood as a positive helpful thing because it’s amazing
The difference between Alex and Magnus
Alex: *internally screaming*
Magnus: *externally screaming*
Just found out Nova Scotia is NOT in Scotland and that information has ruined me
Nico: Do you want some tea?
Will: Ooo what are the options?
Nico:
Nico: yes or no
Dionysus: Listen kid
Nico: You can call me Nico, Mr D
Dionysus: I'd rather not. If I named you I could get attached
i love it when im rereading a story and i find these little breadcrumbs of foreshadowing the author left. everytime im like "ohoho!!!! i wouldve gotten that before if i had the big picture!!! and now i do!!! delightful!!!" and idk i just love being able to read the same story twice but have two different experiences. i like when a story has so many layers that it can keep you entertained for a long time as you unravel all its secret nooks and crannies. thats a good story.
Marcy Wu is probably the best example i can think of when it comes to having comorbid ADHD and autism
So happy for these canon cuties!!
Y’ALL HOW DO WE KEEP WINNING
people who are in pain don’t always look like they’re suffering. it’s especially common among chronic pain patients who’ve been ill for a long time, as well as autistic people.
going slack and moving as little as possible, including the muscles of the face, is in fact a sensible reaction to intense pain: it conserves energy. someone who looks outwardly relaxed or bored may be screaming on the inside.
if this is you, i just want you to know you deserve to be taken at your word when you say you’re in pain. you shouldn’t have to put on a fake grimace in order to give a convincing performance of what you’re actually going through.
if you have never experienced it yourself, please pass on this information so more people will be aware.

Can’t tell you how many times people have told me that I “look tired” when I’m really just hurting lol

Dear Cinderella,
I would like to start by apologizing for underestimating you. It's been quite a fad to hate on you 'I ain't no cinderella' or 'Don't act like Cinderella'. They say you're weak and that you depended on a prince charming and all I can say to that is 'SHHHHHHH'
I rewatched the story again and all I have to say is - So long, my forever happy fairytale.
I don't see you as a warrior, an advocate, or a supernatural being. I see you as what you are a simple, kind girl who got the happiness she deserved. You lost your mother, who taught you how to sing, to love, and to believe in magic. Then your father married a woman, Lady Tremaine with her own daughters Anastasia and Drizella, hoping she could provide you a mother's care but after he went, she did quite the opposite. You were kept as a slave in your own home, stripped of your legacy until you were completely dependant on them. You lived in a time where women were property, you were young with no way out. You were bound to your abusers. We saw your tragedy, you were a survivor of constant physical, mental, and verbal domestic abuse.
But you didn't lose yourself no matter what. You were kind and sweet to everyone no matter what, you persevered with hope in your heart. You sing and prance with your animal friends even in the face of some of the worst adversities. You build dresses out of curtains and worlds out of thoughts. What you went through would've made someone go insane. People think that being masculine is being brave or strong, but you proved that being feminine wasn't synonymous with being strong. You didn't ask for saving because you knew you could make the best of any situation, you had Midas touch like that. You didn't dream of princes or castles or men, you dreamt of building happiness, your own family.
You just wanted to have fun, one night but you were humiliated in the most horrid way possible. Again, your creativity and sheer willpower manifested as the fairy godmother, who gave you your few moments of escape.
You danced with a man, unaware that he was a prince. And then you left.
You didn't ask the prince to follow you or to love you or rescue you but he came back anyway.
You knew this was your chance to make your dreams come true. You knew where to take the opportunity and draw the line. You tried to rescue yourself by showing the other slipper, you were curbed from telling the prince the truth, your slipper broke, but the fairy godmother came back. She would only appear when you willed her to come, so the fact that you didn't lose will was beyond amazing for me.
And you got what you deserved, your boundless hope didn't let you down.
You deserved to be royalty. You forgave those horrid women to their face- shaming them further. You got your happy ever after all because of you, and not simply because some prince fell in love with you. Unlike the stereotypes, you proved that true character has absolutely no match, kind and good people will forever continue to win.
You are an abuse survivor who got all the good they deserved. Maybe you weren't the brute force kind of person, but your silent rebellion is as valuable as somebody's loud revolution. Your story is not one of a damsel in distress but of hope, perseverance, and goodness. That every good person deserves a happy ever after, no matter how they express themself.
Yeah, I would much rather call myself a fighter. But I still love and respect you with all my being. Because you taught me a lot about hoping, dreaming, and loving. You taught me to value everyone. I don't exactly look up to you because my path is different from yours but I relate to you and I hope, I simply hope because of you. We are both heroes in our own stories- just one in boyfriend jeans and boots and the other in corsets and ballgowns.
Love,
Someone who sings that a dream is a wish the heart makes.
