I was lucky enough to be picked for the 2026 @sthbigbang, getting placed alongside fellow artists @yu-melon & @shad-829-art, for @cececat’s fic titled A Brother’s Betrayal.

It’s my first time entering a collab like this, and I’m still very much learning the craft with my art, but it’s been a great experience.

Big thanks to my fellow collab creatives, all the mods that put this together, and a big good luck and well done to all of the artists and writers who will be posting their work over the next few days!

I realised last page that the comic page size doesn’t work well on tumblr like on bsky and DA, so I’ll be messing with the page sizes for a while until I find one that works. In the meantime I’ll add the text for the previous pages in the descriptions for them.

Unbreakable Bond Week - Day 4 - Doubt

Tails’ self belief took a nose dive last week when he was caught off guard by Eggman during a battle, which lead to Knuckles taking a heavy hit for him.

Knuckles is fine, if a bit sore, but it’s left Tails feeling low, lots of sleepless nights and tears wondering if he’s even good enough to do this anymore, if he can still keep up with his friends and be a hero like Sonic.

Sonic hates seeing Tails like this and can’t seem to get the fox to see what he sees in him, so he takes matters to the internet to show him what others think of him, both familiar and not.

So, my (half) year in review. I think this is my fave piece that I've drawn so far as part of the unbreakable bond week that I challenged myself to do (closely followed by First Meeting and Pranks), as I both like the theming and a few of the extra little details I added to it.

While my art isn't anywhere near where I want it to be and picture in my head, I do have to keep reminding myself that I've only been drawing digitally since August, and with P&P just a few months longer than that. And in that short time I can see improvements from the first thing I drew (not on here) to the last thing, so I just need to keep with it, as well as taking inspiration from other artists that I follow on here, like @wickedcriminal, @0vergrowngraveyard, @thetailsguy, @smallpwbbles & others.

I'm going to keep at it and hopefully have a better year of art in 2026, hope you all do too!

Unbreakable Bond Week - Day 7 - Free Prompt - Plus One

Sonic and Tails were pretty much inseparable, it was pretty rare you’d see one without the other, and you could tell that would be the case for years to come, maybe even until one of them couldn’t anymore.

But, every so often someone else got pretty close to the pair, Amy was one, ended up being that big sister, that missing feminine side for Tails in particular.

But it was Knuckles that held the closest bond with them, even though they started as enemies, they had somehow managed to whittle down his hard exterior, to the point where Knuckles actually enjoyed their company over the solitude of his Island.

They were two of the very few he even invited up to the floating isle from time to time, and he wouldn’t find them annoying……..well, maybe just Tails……..for a few hours.

Unbreakable Bond Week - Day 6 - Growing Up

Several years had now passed since the two had first met, Tails was almost the age Sonic was that day on Westside island, he’d long since outgrown his hand-me-down gloves and shoes, ending up designing his own to better suit his daily activities.

The biggest change was, other than his fur going through yet another colour change (seriously, he could make his own rainbow by now), was the sudden growth spurt he’d started on last year. No longer able to tuck his head into Sonics neck when tired, the fox was quickly catching up with Sonic’s height, even with the hedgehog growing a little himself.

At least once a month he was getting Sonic to check with him, see if he’d finally surpassed being the smaller of the two. Sonic on the other hand, was definitely not ready for his ‘little’ bro to outgrow him. Thankfully his theatrics in measuring with his hands kept the fox’s eyes looking up.

Unbreakable Bond Week - Day 5 - Pranks

Tails got Sonic set up online so he could look things up himself rather than pestering the fox while he was busy tinkering.

Unfortunately Sonic spends most of his time looking up trends on Reddit, TikTok and YouTube. Recently he’d come across a spate of videos where humans slap sliced cheese onto their cat or dog’s face and was eager to try it….only he doesn’t have a cat or dog…but he does have something close……kinda.

Unbreakable Bond - Day 3 - Movie Night

After a long adventure, the two boys finally take a well deserved break with one of their cosy movie nights, this time just the two of them.

They watched a fun spy thriller first, but part way through one of Sonic’s favourite films, Tails conked out against the hedgehog, exhausted from helping to save the world (again).

Left to his own devices, Sonic decides to make the night a little more fun.
