Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery, Rives Junction, Michigan
Prayer Emergency!
We just had to call the paramedics for my aunt. Sheâs not responding. Please please please pray for her.
A family friendâs daughterâs boyfriend died in a car crash recently. She has a young daughter herself. Please send prayers their way.
I pray that whoever reads this, that God heals whatever is hurting you.
Whatever is causing all those precious tears to fall from your eyes; whatever is breaking your heart, if itâs stress, anxiety, pain, illness, sadness, worry, the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a broken engagement, anything.
I pray that God heals all that is causing your distress and that He gives you something greater in return.
Today, the most pure temple of the Savior, the precious bridal chamber and Virgin, the sacred treasure of God, enters the house of the Lord, bringing the grace of the Divine Spirit. The Angels of God praise her. She is the heavenly tabernacle. +
Urgent prayer request!
I donât know what exactly happened but apparently a girl fell or something in my friends dorm building and is going to the hospital via ambulance. When I was dropping stuff off at my friendâs dorm the EMTs were just arriving.
Please say a quick prayer for the health and safety of this girl. Idk who she is or what happened but Iâm pretty sure she could use some prayers!
I just wanted to tell you that with all your faults I love you. I love or revere very few people. As for the rest, Iâm ashamed of my indifference to them. But for those I love, nothing and no one, neither I nor certainly they themselves, can ever make me stop loving them. It took me a long time to learn that; now I know it.

Rising from sleep, I thank You, Holy Trinity, for in the multitude of Your goodness and compassion, You were not angry with me the idler and sinner, nor have You destroyed me in my transgressions, but You maintained Your usual love for mankind; and when I was prostrate in despair, You raised me up to offer this morning prayer and to glorify Your power. And now enlighten the eye of my mind; open my mouth to contemplate Your words, and to understand Your commandments, and to do Your will, and to sing to You in heartfelt confession, and to praise Your all-holy name, of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages. Amen. +
Antoine Leiris posted a Facebook message to ISIS, after his wife was killed in the Paris attack, âYou will not have my hatred.â
On Friday night you stole the life of an exceptional being, the love of my life, the mother of my son, but you will not have my hatred.
I donât know who you are and I donât want to know - you are dead souls. If this God for which you kill indiscriminately made us in his own image, every bullet in the body of my wife will have been a wound in his heart.
So no, I donât give you the gift of hating you. You are asking for it but responding to hatred with anger would be giving in to the same ignorance that made you what you are.
You want me to be afraid, to view my fellow countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my freedom for security. You have lost.
I saw her this morning. Finally, after many nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago.
Of course Iâm devastated with grief, I admit this small victory, but it will be short-lived. I know she will accompany us every day and that we will find ourselves in this paradise of free souls to which youâll never have access.
We are two, my son and I, but we are stronger than all the armies of the world.
I donât have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.

O God the Master, Father All-Powerful, O Lord, the Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; One Godhead, One Power, have mercy on me a sinner and save me, Your unworthy servant, as You are the knower of all judgments. For You are blessed now and always. Amen. +
And indeed there will be time/To wonder, âDo I dare?â and, âDo I dare?â

One of my favorite poems!
But can we please talk about Armandâs (actually Andreiâs) Monastery of the Caves because itâs a real place!
Kiev Pechersk Lavra also known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery which gave its name to one of the city districts where it is located in Kiev. It was created in the early 11th century by an Orthodox monk named Anthony. He chose a cave at the Berestov Mount that overlooked the Dnieper River. The Kiev Pechersk Lavra caverns are a very complex system of narrow underground corridors (about 1-1œ metres wide and 2-2œ metres high), along with numerous living quarters and underground chapels.Â
Even found a small interview with one of the actual modern monks, who said âThe monk is actually a person who, ideally, should not face the world for he is constantly talking to God. Therefore, he goes underground, he buries himself alive by digging his own grave â that is, his cell. And when the real death comes, the cave takes his body for perpetual storage. Therefore, every cave monastery is a kind of underground necropolisâ.
I honestly have no idea how Iâve never researched this, but I finally have a visual and detailed reference and Iâm SO happy.

Pray for Lebanon
ISIS just claimed responsibility for 2 terrorist suicide explosions that hit the Lebanese capitalâs southern suburb, killing 40 innocent civilians and injuring 200 in the process. The death toll is still on the rise. 2 other terrorists were heading to the area: one of them was killed and the other was captured by the army which means that ISIS was planning to target the capital with 4 simultaneous explosions. Kindly keep us in your prayers.Â
Paris attacks
For my non-Europe followers, there has been (what seems to be) an organized terrorist attack in Paris, France.
Bombs went off at a soccer stadion
1 or 2 suspects shot at people in a diner
60 dead according to French sources
another 60 injured at least
they have mentioned a decapitation at the stadionÂ
About 100 people were taken hostage at a concert hall
apparently there is now an action happening at the concert hall.Â
French people are tweeting around, allowing people still on the streets to hide with them to be off the streets and be safe.
There are reports of five or six incidents. The halls, The Louvre, The Rue de la Fontaine, The Rue de Charenton and the theather (concert hall) Dataclan.
People captured by the suspects are tweeting the police to save them, the suspects are killing them one by one.
France has declared the emergency situation and closed all borders.Â
The undergrounds have been stopped.
There have been more explosions.âI saw more than twenty bodiesâ - a victim that managed to escape the theater/concert hall
They have found two bodies without limbs at the stadion - probably suicide bombers.Â
The police in Paris has asked journalists to stop filming and broadcasting the situation at Dataclan. [ 00:43 ]
