Taking a deep breath, Selina glanced up toward Amelia, her eyes filled with tears.  How was she supposed to tell her ma that she killed somebody?  She was just a kid, she wasnât supposed to kill people..  Children werenât supposed to do things like that.  What would Amelia think of her?  Would she send her away, would she still want her?  Did it even matter?  âI did something bad⌠ It might put me in a lot oâ troubleâŚâ  She shrugged, not really sure what else to say.  How do you even say I killed a man.  I pushed him out a window and killed him. A heavy sigh escaped Selina as she rose out of the seat, her arms crossing over her chest.  She was in defense mode now.  There was no justified reason for being defensive in front of Amelia, but she didnât know what else to do.  She didnât show weakness, that wasnât her.  Amelia didnât need to know that she had killed someone.  Maybe sheâd just lie and say that she stole something from someone important.
The woman sighed at the child, her head slightly bowed and plump lips parted, barely. Amelia studied Selinaâs body language while she listened to her words and immediately she knew why she acted that way. In Gotham, the city left no one untouched from its devious, corrupt crime and lifestyle and it would seemed Selina was no exception, much to the older womanâs dismay. Emeralds eyes softened, a memory crawling from darkest depths of her mind - her first murder. As soon as her maker abandoned her after he murdered her and changed her into the damned creature she was today, Amelia fed upon a poor unfortunate family from the coast region of Greece. She â she finally succumbed to her raging bloodlust after she desperately to go against her new instincts. The woman remembered when her bloodlust removed its talons from her logical mind, she sobbed brokenly when she saw the gruesome outcome before her. She murdered a family of eight! She murdered the children. Oh how she was haunted by those pain stricken expressions on their facesâŚÂ
Amelia shook herself from that wretched memory and stalked towards Selina, placing a delicate, cold hand upon her head. She caressed the childâs head before pushing her into her, her arms firmly curled around her tiny frame; just like a motherâs embrace. âI know exactly what youâve done, Selina for I have been in your place⌠It haunted me every waking moment and it still does. Faint, but still there; lingering.â The vampire bowed her head and pressed her lips against Catâs hair, causing her deep unnatural red, hip length hair to curtain around them. âWhen youâre ready to speak, I shall be listening to your every word. Just know that I will not judge you or hold you accountable for what youâve done.â
The moment she felt Ameliaâs arms around her she cracked.  Her body shook violently as tears soaked into Ameliaâs shirt.  She hadnât done this on purpose, she hadnât wanted to kill anyone.  She hadnât had a choice.  It was that man or her and Bruce.  He had deserved it.  He had tried to kill Alfred, tried to kill Bruce...  He had attacked people she cared for, she had to do something. She had done the right thing, hasnât she?  It felt like the right thing, and yet...  it was weighing oh so heavy on her shoulders. How could Amelia still love her after what she had done?  why would she? Murder was a serious thing..
Wasnât it?  Ameliaâs words though...  She sounded so genuine, so honest.  She knew how this felt she knew the heaviness that Selina felt in her heart.  She understood what she was going through.  Or, so she said.  With her hands tightly gripping Ameliaâs shirt, she quietly began to speak.  âI killed someone.â  She knows that.  âAn old military friend of Alfredâs - uh.... Bruce Wayneâs butler...â  Yeah, thatâs believable.  Street scum like you friends with Bruce Wayne? âHe tried to kill Alfred, he was gonna kill us.... I pushed him out a window and he fell to his death.â  Small hands released the womanâs shirt and she pulled herself slightly from the strong around around her.  Wiping her tears away on her sleeves.  âI had to do it...â
