so i haven't drawn anything recently (busy) and i haven't really been watching playoffs (busy), but i did redownload my favorite mobile gacha game yesterday (terrible idea) and i've been having fun dressing my character up like speedrunners. also i have little pets i named after rowl and hax and poundy

hey I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but when did you guys start watching MCSR and what introduced you to it/hooked you?

#i got into mcsr like 3 separate times but it was only the most recent time that actually fully hooked me #i think my first introduction to it was smant reacting to one of fein's wrs? that was in like 2021-2022 i think #i got kind of into it after that #i remember watching couri react to zylenox's wr and i was like woah...#unfortunately i was way too smo pilled at the time so i didn't care that much about mcsr #then i forgot about it for a while before rediscovering couri's channel again #i binged a bunch of stuff on his channel one night and the fixation started setting in #and not even joking the next day he announced he was quitting forever (Clueless) to work for the mets #and like i have this weird thing where it's really hard for me to start watching new creators #like i can't just look up 'minecraft speedrunning' and start watching the first dude that pops up #i don't know why but i have to be exposed to creators before i start watching them #so because couri was the only mcsr guy i knew i was like 'dang guess i can't watch mcsr anymore'#i had completely forgotten about fein by the way #fast forward to like late 2024 where i rediscovered couri again and got back into his content #and like i already knew and liked couri but the thing that got me into mcsr as a whole was actually some clips channels #like hbg highlights and alisster and shit #i remember binge watching a bunch of those and being like 'mcsr is lowkey amazingly fire...'#which spurred me to actively seek out more runners and get involved with the wider community #and then some way or another i discovered fein again and that's where i'd say my mcsr phase started #the real nail in the coffin was when i discovered fulham though #also it wasn't until a couple of months ago that i connected the dots that fein was the first runner i had watched #i remembered the smant video but i didn't remember that it was him #anyway that's my overly long story as to how i ended up here #reblog

i went camping for a couple days and i feel like i missed a lot

#i actually got back a couple days ago but i've been so busy catching up with school and work #that i haven't had much time to catch up with mcsr #i feel like it is kind of hard to keep up with everything that happens #like i just found out about the whole edcr thing #plus i missed the whole lan #on a related note i kind of try to keep this blog solely mcsr focused #but i realized that i don't have to do that and i can kind of post whatever i want #so i'll probably put some of my other interests on here from time to time #mostly in the form of reblogs #my art will mostly stay mcsr as it's still my biggest fixation currently #yapping

Some mscr angelic layer au haxfume anyone?

Infume doesn't know what is happening anymore.

One second he's sulking because he lost in the first round of his first ever tournament, the next Hax, the Hax, is in front of him talking his ear off. The only reason that interaction ended was because he was dragged off by his two friends.

And he really thought that'd be the end of it, at least until he got good at the game. One interaction with the Deus that got him into playing Angelic layer in the first place. He honestly could die happily now. Except that wasn't the end of it.

He had sat himself down at one of the causal layers and was waiting for an opponent. When he looked up from his phone the last person he was expecting sitting across from him was Hax.

"Hi Infume!"

What the hell.

Hax adjusted his head gear before smiling at Infume and holding his angel, "Wanna battle?"

What. The. Hell.

Infume fumbles with his own head gear, turning it on and watching as his doll came to life. Hax's smile grows, it's the same smile that he wears when he wins a tournament. He tosses is angel into the layer, which lands gracefully and starts skating around Infume's.

Both of their angels are light weight models. And Infume has watched enough Hax games to know how the other fights. Hax likes to out speed his opponent, forcing them to play defensive until he can push them off the layer. The angel's skates help with the speed, which often leaves Hax's angel at a disadvantage on rough layers but on th flat and empty causal layer he has no such problem.

Infume's own doll is also a light weight model. Though so far is strategy has been fast dodges and faster attacks. His doll is fast but not as fast as Hax's.

He startles slightly at the countdown in his ear. He needs to focus. He's able to dodge out of the way as Hax comes barreling towards him. He attempts a swipe at Hax, but he's just short of reaching. It's a game of back and forth for a bit, just dodging from the both of them. Infume takes care to keep his doll in the center of the layer.

He dodges another Hax attack, only instead of skating away Hax grabs him by the hood and starts dragging him. He knows this move. It's something Hax does against other light weight models, dragging them to the edge of the layer so he can push them off. He remembers reading the controversy it caused online. Luckily he stalked those online forums because he knows what to do.

He reaches around to grab one of Hax's legs, causing them to both go tumbling to the ground. He's closer to the edge than he would've liked but at least he didn't get thrown off.

They scuffle around before they're both standing again. Infume is back to dodging while trying not to walk further to the edge. He reaches out and manages to grab the other's scarf. It doesn't know Hax down but it does cause him to stumble. He stakes a bit further away in escape this time.

Infume enters a fighting stance, ready to dodge Hax's next shove. He's thrown off guard when instead Hax drops to the ground and uses his legs to swipe underneath Infume.

Infume blinks. Everything happened so fast. He stares wide eyes at Hax then at his doll on the ground then back at Hax. It's not like he expected to win but he hadn't even had time to react to that last move. Hax has thrown his doll off balance than shoved him off the layer.

"Good game," Hax smiles as he takes his head gear off, "You're really fast."

He's fast??

His disbelief must of shown on his face because Hax laughed.

"I can believe I had to use my secret move against you," Hax picks up his angel, "And even then, you did your research."

Well there goes any hope that his idol didn't know he was a fan.

"Let's play again!"

What the hell is happening?

#never heard of angelic layer before but this is so cool #love how you're still able to pick up on how the world works even if you don't know the source #infume being a closet hax fan is so beautiful #really like the flow of their fight in this as well #i'll have to look into the source material... sounds peak #reblog

learned my blood type today 👍 i'm O+

#one thing about me is that i'm deathly terrified of needles/getting poked #and we had to stab ourselves in order to test our blood types #but my curiosity was stronger than my fear so after like 15 mins of psyching myself up i was able to do it #except i didn't get enough blood so i had to do it again #but i wasn't mentally strong enough to do it twice so i had my lab partner stab me the second time 💀#shoutout to him #yapping
