Concept art of Temple's office
NPC Showcase - Temple! Temple is a fur-bearing salmon angel, and the main guide to the player. Temple has been chosen by God to create a world populated by fur-bearing fish, and they need the human player's help building this new world.
Temple is the NPC the player saw the most. It served as the player's guide, ally, teacher, and best friend. One of the game's most unique features was Temple's AI, which, for 2001, was WAY ahead of its time - able to think on its own and generate responses in real time.
After the Valentine's Day incident of 2002, the Temple we knew was taken away from us... It spoke against its creators and lashed out and was punished. We're still mourning it like it was a real friend. This is our main reason for starting the project, we want our friend back.
In the upcoming restored version of Fur-Bearing Friends, players will be able to speak with and befriend Temple almost exactly like we could back in the day. We'll get our silly fish back!!
