I love Ah-bay (the zebra furby boom in question), unfortunately one of her sensors is messed up and she thinks she's being thrown around whenever I wake her up :(

update: all you have to do to run the program is set your computers locale to japan. it contains a furby desktop buddy, wallpapers, a calander and calculator program

has anyone ever picked up furbies on Kijiji/craigslist, if so, was it awkward?
I struggle with a lot of anxiety and the thought of going to pick something up at another persons house is kinda terrifying tbh, being canadian, shipping can be costly too and im someone whos inpatient when shipping is involved, i also need to know where my package is because I’ve almost lost items before
ALWAYS meet in a public place. If they don’t want to go down to a coffee shop or something public with people and witnesses around, the furby is not worth it. No furby is worth compromising your safety. Anyone reasonable would not object to meeting in a public place and anyone who does object, must either have a really good reason or is probably someone you shouldn’t meet.
If you absolutely have to have the furby and they only want you to come to their house and refuse to meet in public, bring along a parent, friend or guardian. Do NOT go alone.
aside from all the safety stuff, a lot are going to be parents selling it (I got my furbacca and two 2012s on craigslist, but there are people selling 98s and 05s as well) so once you get there it's usually pretty easy; they just want to get rid of it because their kid left it in the attic, or their younger kid got bored of it, etc. Also I super sympathize, I had a package with two furbies and four furby buddies from the states disappear in the mail on me, and I didn't buy anything else for months. If you live in near thrift stores, browse those whenever you get the chance. No one knows you're shopping for yourself (if you'd find that embarassing), and if they do, they'll probably think you're looking for collectables or something for crafts.

What Furby Am I? I'm a trans man, olderrrr (by the standards of this community. I'm actually only 24), vegetarian, rural/farm raised, loving of the animals (I have mice and lizards but I would have dog(s) and cat(s) if I could, and oh man the livestock I would keep!), and I'm v. shy irl.

oh man I feel ya with the age Wolves may not be vegetarians, but they’re very close to nature and also super cool~ Red is like, the ultimate masc color imo too. Wolves are pack animals, and can have very loving and caring relationships with others of their pack. Sounds similar to you and the animals you take care of! (as well as the ones you wish to care for!)Wolves are also known to be shy of humans!

i wanna know what year u guys started liking/having an interest in furbies! for me, it was late 2012!
Spring 2013 was when I got swampy but became more involved with furbs in the summer/fall
2013/2014 I started collecting, but tbh what got me started was meeting my younger cousins' 2012 when he got it
My first Foobie arrived today! I think he sounds much more cuter than a Furby.
((So I got my Baby Furby in today, and to my almost predicted worry, he doesn’t work.
I remember CLEARLY, that the description for his Ebay page said that he was tested and works, but he doesn’t.
He came today sometimes when I was at school, but, waiting for him to come, but only to reveal that he doesn’t work is very upsetting even though some people have silent Furbys and are fine with them not working.
My Grandmother said that she read the whole pamphlet that came with him, and tried everything it said, but to no avail.
((He is from the 1999 line btw
He looks brand new too.
Assuming it was working before, it probably just needs some taps on the back (anywhere from a couple to like, an hour’s worth) to get the things moving, or at worst to be opened up and have his gear turned. Sometimes they stop after having sat for a long time, or he might have gotten a little shaken in the mail
