Health System: Obesity
We are all familiar with the term 'obesity', but few of us see it as a real disease. The large and manipulative diet industry characterizes obesity as arising from a lack of self-control, and this is a widely held belief. In fact, obesity is a complex disorder of appetite regulation and energy metabolism controlled by specific biological factors.
Obesity is a condition where a person has accumulated so much body fat that it might have a negative effect on their health.
People become obese because of overeating, of course overeating leads to weight gain, especially if the diet is high in fat. Foods that are high in fat have high energy density. Some studies shows that diets that are high in fat can lead to weight gain. Next is having a sedentary life, due to the arrival of the modern technology, people are commonly are leading to a more sedentary lifestyle. Lastly, not getting enough sleep, Research has suggested that if you do not sleep enough your risk of becoming obese doubles.
The main solution for obesity is to become more active in physical activities like having at least 30 minutes – one hour of exercise, and to have a healthy diet.
As of today, I pledge that I must have at least 30 minutes – 1 hour exercise and to reduce my food intake, so that I will have a healthier lifestyle and to have a longer life.
