reasons elk will benefit the fusion:
strong in-game shot caller who doesn’t tilt and is good at changing plans on the fly
better ana than both of fusion’s supports (yes, even better than neptuno. elk’s support duo on fusion uni, alarm - aka the best ana/zen player other than jjonak - has said he thinks elk is on his level)
less streaky mercy (yes neptuno is a good mercy. yes he made a lot of really cool plays where he got kills. however, he never really had the balance between going off to kill and sticking back to heal down, imo. also, sometimes neptuno would tilt and just. disappear for a game. if you need an example watch the entire owl s1 finals)
big brain thinker. like, constantly trying new mechanics, thinking up gameplans, figuring out the meta and why it works, and then trying to think up new comps. analysing past games. seriously, check out some of the vods on his twitch of his analysis, it’s so cool
has already worked with a player who is basically the projectile version of carpe (whoru)
very, very experienced with mix language teams thanks to fusion uni (3/6 players on funi this season were korean) and with moving to new places to play overwatch (went to thailand to play in a tournament when the entire NA/EU scene shut down before owl)
so yeah. i just see a lot of really, really cool ways elk will benefit the fusion this season!!! i hope they play him, i’m so excited to see where this goes ^-^
