Yua, oddly enough, flushed. Zey didn’t expect such words from him in the slightest no matter how often they heard them. Zey didn’t want to admit it, but it meant a lot it them for some reason. “…Right away, Youshiro-san.”
Yua nodded and scrambled up the ladder, and ran into the computer room. Zey begun to furiously clack as gunshots rang through the factory. They had long since gotten used to working under pressure. They couldn’t afford to make a mistake in this situation and waste more time. Zeir thoughts frantically worried over Youshiro’s safety, but Yua shoved thoughts of his violent death being pulled apart or blown to bits by Monokumas. It was an adaption to the harsh world.
Finally the screen scrambled and glitched. Yua in a usual situation would have taken a step back and grinned to admire zeir work, the narcissistic person zey were, but Youshiro was more important.
Zey ran out of the room and shot another Monokuma, trying to go back down the ladder only to slip and slam the ground behind Youshiro.
Youshiro knew what Yua must have been thinking, and wondered about it as he tucked away his regular shotgun and brandished a bright gold, sawed-off one. It was the Hacking Gun he had managed to modify so it would look like a toy shotgun instead of a megaphone: what a nerd.
He blasted away with his last resort weapon as he waited for his partner to come back; and used the little time he had to think about their relationship. Was he really over it at all? The more he had tried to convince himself of that in the past, the more flimsy his excuses seemed to become. They didn't have the time of the peace of mind to deal with romance of all things, that much was true; but was everything really over? Would they stay in this shitstorm of a world forever, and never get a proper lid on this relationship's coffin, at the very least...?
Youshiro only snapped out of these grim, saddened thoughts when his eyes met a Beat Monokuma's hungry, beady, dead ones; and its teeth almost met his neck. He let out a shout and blasted it away out of pure reflex; but had to catch his breath right afterwards. Yeah, that's right.
They really didn't have the time to deal with personal bullshit.
"Yua, when the hell are you gonna come ba--" His worried shout was cut short by a loud slamming noise; and suddenly, Yua was laying down right behind him. "--HOLY SHIT ARE YOU OKAY? HOLD ON, I'M GONNA GET OUT OUT OF HERE!"
He turned around on his heels, wrapping his arms around Yua and quietly checking for any broken bones or more obvious wounds. He wouldn't be able to shoot like this; so he'd have to be quick.
"Good morning everyone! I hope you’re all behaving yourselves despite it being the weekend. Good behavior extends beyond the school, to how you carry yourself in public! Don’t shame the name of Hope’s Peak today, okay?"
"Do we even need to shame anything?"
"This school shits on its own name often enough, don't ya think?"

The man waited a little to try and hear Yua’s response; then sighed and rolled his eyes as he did. Not again. How were they even supposed to fight without taking those risks? He was honestly glad that he wasn’t even more injured than that. His nose wasn’t even broken, for...
Youshiro grinned at Yua before cocking his gun and shooting some Destroyer Monokumas that flew over in tiny jetpacks to their location.
"You go. I can stay over here; you know more about these computers than I do." He shot some more Monokumas that threatened to get closed, then turned back at Yua once more and winked, smiling from ear to ear. "Besides, I was always the better sniper... Dear."
Hey, don't blame him. Old habits die hard!

Yua's death would most certainly drive Youshiro to despair. He doesn't look like it, but he tends to lean more on the despair side than the hope one even normally; and Yua's death would surely be what tips him off the edge. He'd first go on a muderous rampage, not caring about who he might hurt in the process; and then he would cool down in the worst way possible: becoming cold blooded and apathetic to people's feelings and motives. All he would care about would be bringing his warped sense of justice to life; as a way to honor Yua's utopias as well as his.
Now it posts and i had two different replies. Left the best and longest one. I sure do look like an ass though
"…Fuck,"A pained groan was all the man could muster at that moment, as he wiped the blood leaking out of his nose. That Monokuma head that had been blown away by the last explosion had hit him hard in the face. It wasn’t enough to take him out; but fuck was he dizzy as hell...

On the other hand, Yua caring about his wellbeing even after the breakup and all of this hell breaking loose never failed to bring a small smile to his lips.
"Aw c'mon," he muttered half-jokingly when Yua got closer, "We're in a freakin' war here. We're gonna get hurt sometime--"
Before he even knew it, Yua was dragging him out of the Monokuma factory by the collar.
"hey, oi, Yua!" He shouted, " Come on! We got this!"
